In der Zeichnung sind beispielsweise vier Ausführungsformen des Erfindungsgegen standes dargestellt, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 eine Teilansicht der ersten Aus führungsform der Vorrichtung in einer Sei tenansicht; Fig. 2. zeigt in kleinerem Massstab die Teile der Vorrichtung nach Fig. 1 mit daran angebrachtem Saugpolster; Fig. 3 veranschaulicht, wie das Aus- .drücken von Wasser aus dem Saugpolster er folgt; Fig. 4 zeigt die !Stellung der Teile der Vorrichtung für Benutzung .derselben unter Möbeln auf niedrigen Füssen;
Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen je eine weitere Aus führungsform der Vorrichtung in Seitenan sicht; Fig. 7 ist ein Längsschnitt durch ein Saugpolster mit Wischlappen; Fig. 8 zeigt eine Seitenansicht der Aus führungsform nach Fig. 1 und 2 mit in einer zweiten .Stellung angedeuteten Teilen der selben; Fig. 9 zeigt, wie die Vorrichtung nach Fig. 1 und 2 bezw. 8 gehandhabt werden muss, um unter sehr niedrige Möbel geführt werden zu können;
Device for washing and soaking floors. The present invention relates to a device for washing up and drying floors. The novelty is that it has a body made of hard material, on which a wiper cloth that is used both when washing up and when drying up is fastened by means of one of its edges, inside which a suction pad is arranged, which lies against the hard body mentioned ,
and that the opposite edge of this mopping flap is connected to a clamping device for tensioning the same and for compressing the suction pad, the actuating element of which is arranged on the handle of the device, which handle is rigidly connected to said hard body.
Accordingly, the mopping cloth serves three purposes, firstly to wash the floor, secondly to press out the water absorbed by the cushion and thirdly as a means of passage for the water during the water-absorbing function of the cushion during the drying of the floor.
The absorbent pad can be formed by a filling of carded cotton or another fabric, which on the one hand has a high water absorbency and at the same time has the property of assuming its normal volume after compression as soon as it is soaked again with water. The wiping cloth is expediently made so tight that dust, dirt or the like is prevented from entering the interior of the upholstery.
In the drawing, for example, four embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown, namely: Figure 1 is a partial view of the first embodiment of the device in a Be tenansicht; FIG. 2 shows, on a smaller scale, the parts of the device according to FIG. 1 with the suction pad attached; Fig. 3 illustrates how the expressing of water from the absorbent pad he follows; Fig. 4 shows the position of the parts of the device for use under furniture on low feet;
5 and 6 each show a further imple mentation of the device in Seitenan view; 7 is a longitudinal section through a suction pad with mopping cloths; Fig. 8 shows a side view of the imple mentation of Figures 1 and 2 with parts of the same indicated in a second position; Fig. 9 shows how the device according to FIGS. 1 and 2 respectively. 8 must be handled in order to be able to pass under very low furniture;
Fig. 10 shows a fourth embodiment of the device, in which the two parts that form the carrier for the mop are connected to each other by hinges.
According to FIGS. 1, 2, 8 and 9 of the drawing voltage, the handle 1 is attached to a block of wood 2, which is rounded on the one hand semi-cylindrical. Another block 3, which is wedge-shaped, is connected to the wooden block 2 by means of two arms 10. The two arms 10 and the blocks 2 and 3 are adjusted to each other so that the wedge edge 7 of the wood block 3 touches the wood block 2 near the edge 25 between the semi-cylindrical surface 9 and surface 8 of the block 2 as soon as the surface 11 of the wood block 3 and the Surface 8: of the wood block 2 lie in one plane.
The arms 10 are articulated by means of pins 6 on the block 2 and with the wooden block 3; Firmly connected with screws 4 and 5. The height> of the wood block 2, that is, the distance between its surface 8 and 12, is chosen to be relatively small, so that the device can also be used under furniture with low feet (Fig. 4 and 9).
For the same reason, the greatest height of the wood block 3, calculated from the surface 11, is also kept as small as possible. A recess 133 is provided opposite the semi-cylindrical part of the block 2 and a recess 14 is provided in the vertical wall of the wooden block 3. The suction pad 15 is covered with a wiping cloth <B> 1'6 </B>, in which two opposite edges are turned into hems containing metal strips 2.3 and 24 (FIG. 7). The edges reinforced in this way are pushed into grooves of blocks 2 and 3.
The suction pad 15 can either be sewn onto the flap 16 (FIG. 7) or attached to the block 2 by means of a fastening device 26.
One end of a strap 19 is attached to an eyelet 27 of the wooden block 3, while the other end engages a lever 18 by means of an eyelet 17. In the middle of the lever 18, as shown in FIG. 3, a strong pull can be exerted on the belts 19.
The use of the device is as follows: First, the absorbent pad and the two wooden blocks are immersed in pure water. The absorbent pad sucks up a fair amount of water, with which a floor can be washed, for example, by the cloth 16 is accordingly water-permeable. In order to be able to dry up the floor on this, you press the water out of the absorbent pad by pulling the free end of the lever 18 upwards.
This results in a rotation of the wood block 3 with respect to the block 2, which causes the cloth to be tensioned. 16 has the effect that the suction pad 15 is pressed against: the hard underlay, which is partly formed by the semi-cylindrical part of the block 2 and partly by the lower surface of the block 3 and the block 2, and thus the water pressed out of the suction pad 15.
The floor is then dried with the cushion pressed in this way.
In the embodiment described above, the pull on the lever 18 not only compresses the suction pad 15, but also causes tension in the lap pen 16 at the same time. Uni to enable this, in the example described above, on the one hand, the semi-cylindrical surface is arranged on the block 2 and, on the other hand, the suction pad is attached to the wiper cloth 16 or, better, to the Bloch 2. As a result, in addition to the compression, tensioning of the cushion and winding of at least part of the same over a cylindrical surface occur.
Because of this pressing and stretching of the padding, taking into account a special property of carded wool, namely to resume its original volume when it is soaked with water, the device can function properly. The essence of the device is that it can be quickly converted from a water-releasing device into a water-absorbing device.
By rotating the wooden block 3 around the block 2 by means of the arms 10 in the stretcher according to FIGS. 4 and 9, it is possible to push the cloth together with the suction pad under furniture that is on relatively low feet.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the suction pad 15 is only compressed by means of the lap pen 16 by allowing the lobe to be pulled up along the front part of the wood block 2. Part 3 is completely missing here.
The embodiment of FIG. 6 has a block of wood 2 of approximately egg-shaped according to cross section. One end of the wiper flap 16 reinforced by a rail is fixed in a groove in this wooden block 2, while the other end is attached at 22 to two links 10 which are hinged to the block 2 at 6. To squeeze out any water contained in the suction pad 15, the mopping cloth can be tensioned by pivoting the handlebars 10 by means of the hand lever 18 and a belt 19 acting at 22.
In this case, the suction pad 15 lies around the curve of the block 2 ', being pressed against the same by the wiping cloth 16.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 10, the two wooden blocks 2 and 3 are linked to one another by means of a hinge. By tightening the pulling element 19 fastened at 27 on the block 3 by means of the! Hand lever 18, the two blocks 2 and 3 are folded against each other, with the pad 15 and the wiping cloth 16 partially around the blocks, compressing the pad 1: 5.
