Device for the production of flat metal webs with parallel and straight edges. Due to the usual Arbeitsvor gang by means of rolling and trimming on the roller shears, it is not possible to obtain a metal web that on the one hand has exactly straight edges, on the other hand is completely flat.
Due to the uneven pressure of the rollers, the web receives Wel len and when trimmed using roller shears, the edges of the web are probably cut parallel, but run slightly undulating or in arcs due to the Wel len and tensions and the lack of lateral guidance. Deviations of 10 to 80 minutes have been found over longer lengths.
These inconveniences are to be remedied by the device according to the present inven tion, which has clamping devices for the production of planar metal tracks with parallel and straight edges, of which at least one is arranged to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the device and which is used to clamp the metal to be stretched Serve web, which clamping devices for holding the metal web press plates, which are expediently provided with an elastic covering.
The device also has means for guiding the metal web in a straight line. It has been shown that an elongation of the metal web in this device of 0.3 to 2% is normally sufficient to obtain a web that meets the requirements. .
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is Darge provides.
Fig. 1 shows the same in elevation and FIG. 2 in plan '.
The metal web a to be stretched, for example made of copper, runs from a loose reel b, preferably provided with a brake, between the press plates.
a fixed clamping device c, then between the press plates of a clamping device 16 m away from it, for example, which can be moved in the longitudinal direction through onto a motor reel e, which rolls up the stretched web piece after each stretching process and thereby a new, unstretched web piece between the clamping devices c and d move in.
The clamping devices c and d are set up in such a way that the upper, movable press plates <I> f </I> and <I> g </I> by means of the spindles <I> h </I> and z are expedient by a motor drive that is not drawn in, can be set from one point. The clamping device <I> d </I> is guided on the bed lc and can be moved back and forth by the tension spindles d and <I> m, </I>, for example by means of a motor drive (not shown).
In order to avoid damage to the metal web and to achieve a uniformly firm clamping between the press plates over the entire width of the web, it is advisable to provide the press plates with elastic coverings, for example made of wood, cork, felt, rubber or the like. On their side facing the metal track, the press plates <I> f </I> and <I> g </I> have rulers o and p provided with scales, on which one leg can be fixed by clamping screws, with one leg exactly at right angles to Ruler angular stops <I> q </I> and <I> r </I> are slidably mounted. These angle stops <I> q </I> and <I> r </I> are set once to the web width, for example to 600 mm.
They form a means for straight guidance of the metal web and serve a double purpose. Firstly, the web should always lie exactly in the middle of the press plates, so that an eccentric pull on the clamping devices and a slight inclination of the web during stretching due to tilting of the clamping devices is avoided.
Furthermore, these angle stops do the very important task of ensuring that the web is always clamped straight-edged in the clamping devices, so that the individual flat and straight sections of the web meet in a straight line. 'If you were to work without these long angle stops, you would get a path that consists of, for example, 5 to 16 m long, flat and precisely straight pieces that meet more or less at an oblique angle.
The method of operation with the device described is as follows: The rolled metal web coming from the circular shears is pushed onto the loose reel b, the beginning of the web is first manually passed between the press plates of the fixed clamping device c to the movable one guided clamping device, then clamped between the press plates, at the same time the press plates of the fixed A clamping device c are moved against each other.
By turning the spindles l and <I> m </I>, the clamped track section is stretched so far that it is flat. As a result, who at the same time the parallel ge cut, but extending in the form of an arc, the cut edges pulled out in straight lines. By reversing the drive motor - the spindles 1 and <I> m </I>, the web is then relieved again, or the clamping device d is returned to its starting position.
Now the press plates f and g are lifted, the beginning of the web is inserted into the drum of the motor reel e and the web is wound onto this drum until an unstretched piece lies between the jigs. The press plates f and g are then lowered again, always carefully ensuring that the edges of the web rest against the angle stops q and 1; and then a new stretching process starts.
In this way, the entire web is stretched flat and straight in sections, for example <B> 16 '</B> m in length. If the drive device is designed electrically, it is possible to design the whole in such a way that the entire device can be operated from one place by one man, so that a high working speed can be achieved. In this way, it is possible to process even the largest web lengths that occur in such a way that their edges run parallel and dead straight over the entire length of the web.
