Description

  

  Portemanteau.    L'objet de la présente invention est un  portemanteau. Celui-ci est caractérisé en ce  qu'il comporte une colonne creuse dont l'in  térieur est aménagé pour recevoir des para  pluies, cannes, etc., et dont la paroi porte,  extérieurement, des organes d'accrochage pour  des pièces d'habillement.  



  Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre  d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet  de la présente invention.  



  La     fig.l    en est une vue générale en  perspective, la     fig.    2 une élévation de côté et  la     fig.    3 une section droite; les     fig.    4 et 5  sont des sections droites de variantes.  



  Le portemanteau représenté aux     fig.    1 à  3 comporte une colonne creuse présentant,  dans sa partie médiane, une ouverture 1 fai  sant communiquer l'extérieur avec une cavité  intérieure 2. Cette dernière est fermée, à sa  partie inférieure, par un tiroir coulissant 3  et latéralement par deux parois 4 qui vont  en se rapprochant du haut en bas; elle sert  à recevoir des parapluies, parasols, cannes,  etc.; le     tiroir    2 forme un petit collecteur    dans lequel s'amasse l'eau que l'on peut sor  tir en tirant le tiroir vers l'extérieur. La co  lonne porte une glace 5, des crochets 6 aux  quels on peut     suspendre    des pièces d'habille  ment et une tablette 8 sur laquelle on peut  poser des couvre-chefs.

   Au-dessous de la  glace est     pratiquée    dans la colonne une case  pour recevoir des brosses, peignes, etc. et  fermé par une porte 9, s'ouvrant de haut en  bas et dont l'arête supérieure porte une ta  blette 10 se trouvant     normalement    disposée  horizontalement sous la glace pour recevoir  ces objets; on pourrait prévoir, en plus, une  case pour un cendrier.  



  La     section    droite de la colonne est     consti-          tuée    par un trapèze dont le grand côté  s'appuie contre le mur, mais elle pourrait  être différente, par exemple triangulaire  (voir     fig.4),    pour un portemanteau destiné  à être placé dans un coin ou octogonal (voir       fig.    5) pour un portemanteau     destiné    à être  placé au milieu d'une salle.  



  De préférence, le portemanteau sera fait  en tôle vernie, du genre de celle que l'on           emploie    dans les     carrosseries    d'automobile;  mais d'autres matières ne sont pas exclues.  



  On pourrait également prévoir, derrière  la glace 5, un placard dont cette glace mobile  constituerait la porte.

  The coat rack shown in fig. 1 to 3 comprises a hollow column having, in its middle part, an opening 1 making the exterior communicate with an interior cavity 2. The latter is closed, at its lower part, by a sliding drawer 3 and laterally by two walls 4 which go by approaching from top to bottom; it is used to receive umbrellas, parasols, walking sticks, etc .; drawer 2 forms a small collector in which the water collects which can be taken out by pulling the drawer outwards. The column carries a mirror 5, hooks 6 from which you can hang pieces of clothing and a shelf 8 on which you can put headgear.

   Below the ice is a box in the column to receive brushes, combs, etc. and closed by a door 9, opening from top to bottom and whose upper edge carries a plate 10 normally located horizontally under the mirror to receive these objects; one could provide, in addition, a box for an ashtray.



  The straight section of the column is made up of a trapezoid, the long side of which rests against the wall, but it could be different, for example triangular (see fig. 4), for a coat rack intended to be placed in a corner. or octagonal (see fig. 5) for a coat rack intended to be placed in the middle of a room.



  Preferably, the coat rack will be made of varnished sheet metal, of the kind used in automobile bodies; but other matters are not excluded.



  One could also provide, behind the mirror 5, a cupboard of which this movable mirror would constitute the door.
