Coupling auxiliary device for motor vehicles. The invention (inventor: H. Jander, Berlin) relates to a coupling auxiliary device for motor vehicles, both in a known manner .the negative pressure prevailing in the fuel intake pipe of the engine is used to cancel the coupling.
In both known auxiliary coupling devices working in this way, the drive cylinder of the auxiliary coupling device is connected to the fuel intake pipe of the engine by a connecting pipe and a control valve is switched on in this connection, which, depending on the prevailing conditions, connects the drive cylinder to the fuel intake pipe (Auf lifting of the coupling connection) or with the atmosphere (bringing about the coupling connection).
only the chamber of the drive cylinder facing this valve acts as a working chamber, while the other cylinder chamber is connected to the atmosphere and this connection is influenced by the piston movement that is used to bring about the coupling closure in such a way that in front of the piston an air cushion that dampens its movement is created, the more or less rapid dissolution of which requires a quick or less rapid intervention of the coupling.
The attenuation of the coupling process is subject to these known auxiliary coupling devices some uncontrollable influences and is therefore not always as desired with regard to the respective operating conditions.
In such devices, for example, the degree of wear of the parts of the clutch plays an essential role, insofar as this shifts the time at which the clutch is engaged.
Differences in temperature are also not without influence on the course of the coupling process, insofar as - when it is cold. just starting engine the establishment of the clutch connection does not exactly match the speed of the engine, what. on the other hand is the case with a warm, run-in engine.
The present invention relates to a coupling auxiliary device for motor vehicles whose drive cylinder is influenced by the negative pressure generated in the fuel intake manifold of the engine in the sense of canceling the coupling, and is intended to redesign the coupling auxiliary device so that the damping when the clutch is engaged is independent of those one flows only depending on the strength of the negative pressure prevailing in the fuel suction pipe is able to implement.
According to the invention, the cylinder chamber, which is decisive for the damping during coupling, is influenced by a control element which is under the influence of the negative pressure prevailing in the fuel intake pipe, for the purpose of making the damping only dependent on the negative pressure during coupling.
For this purpose, the drive cylinder for the Kupplungshilfsvor direction is preferably with one of its two chambers separated by the working piston in a constantly open connection with the fuel intake pipe of the engine, the negative pressure prevailing in the fuel intake pipe via this connection in the sense of canceling the clutch connection to the Working piston can affect.
The other chamber can also be connected to the fuel intake pipe, but a known control device is then expediently connected to this connection, which, depending on the situation, connects this cylinder chamber with the fuel intake pipe (bringing about the coupling connection) or with the atmosphere (canceling the Coupling closure).
To bring about a damping regulation. Differences in pressure, a non-return valve which is loaded by an adjustable spring and opens in the direction of the fuel suction pipe can also be arranged in the connection mentioned.
An embodiment of the coupling auxiliary device according to the invention is illustrated schematically in the drawing.
In the working cylinder 1 of the auxiliary coupling device there is a piston 2, which is connected to the coupling foot lever 5 by means of the piston rod 3 and the cable or chain hoist 4, which is held in the position corresponding to the coupling connection by the tension spring 6 becomes. The working cylinder 1 is on the one hand by means of the pipes 7 and 8 to the intake pipe 9 of the engine, not shown, is connected. On the other hand, a line 10 branches off from the line 8, which line is connected to the second chamber of the cylinder 1 on the other hand.
Between the pipes 8 and 10, a valve 11 is inserted, which is held by the spring 12 in the closed state. The tension of the spring 12. can be adjusted 1: 3 using the double union nut. Between the valve 11 and the working cylinder 1, an electric valve 14 is switched on, which alternately connects the pipe 10 and thus the relevant chamber of the cylinder 1 with the pipe 8 or via the opening 15 with the atmosphere.
The Elektroven valve 14 is connected on the one hand via line 16 to the battery 17 and on the other hand via line 18 to a .Schalter 19, which is operated by means of the linkage 20 of the throttle valve 22 provided for operating the throttle valve 22 in such a way that at With the accelerator pedal released, the circuit of the battery 17 is closed to ground. The throttle linkage 20 has a dead gear 23.
The operation of the device is as follows: When the gas foot lever 21 is released, a circuit is closed from the battery 17 via line 16, electrovalve 14, line 18, switch 19 to ground. The winding of the electromagnet 14 is consequently excited and the electrovalve closes the connection between the lines 8 and 10 and connects the latter to the fresh air opening 15.
The negative pressure that prevails in the fuel suction pipe 9 when the engine is running affects the piston 2 via the lines 8 and i, which is displaced in the direction of the mouth of the pipe 7 and by means of the piston rod 3, the cable 4-, of the clutch lever 5 releases the clutch lock against the action of the spring 6.
After turning on the certain gear to start, the motor is accelerated by releasing the gas, the switch 19 interrupting the circuit via the solenoid valve 14. The solenoid valve 14 is de-energized and controls under the action of a spring. The opening 15 is closed, the connection of the lines 8 and 10 is established.
The prevailing in the chamber 24 atmospheric pressure opens the Ven valve 11 against the tension of the spring 12, where in the chambers 24 and 25 a tension of the spring 12 corresponding pressure prevails, namely the pressure in the chamber 24 to the amount of tension in the spring 12 is greater than that in the chamber 25. Da. the speed of the engine to drive should be kept relatively low, the throttle valve 22 is slowly opened. The strength of the negative pressure in the intake pipe 9 and in the lines 7 and 8 therefore does not suffer any significant change.
Under the action of the clutch spring 6, the piston 2 is moved back until a certain Ent load of the spring 6 occurs when the clutch members or clutch disks are in contact. At a certain pressure difference be in the pipe lines 8 and 10 BEZW. In the chambers 24 and 25, the valve 11 closes the connection of the lines 8 and 10 again under the action of the spring 12 #, the coupling in this state is brought into slightly sliding engagement. When the throttle valve 22 is opened further, the negative pressure in the intake line 9 becomes lower, since the increase in the speed of the engine lags behind the opening of the throttle valve 22.
The lower negative pressure affects the chamber 24 of the cylinder 1; the force influencing the piston 2 in the direction of the pipe 7 is thus less than the suction force acting in the chamber 25, so that under the action of the latter and the clutch spring 6, the clutch is now fully grasped. Since the pressure in the chamber 25 in the situation described is greater than the pressure in the chamber 24, a pressure equalization takes place between the chambers 24 and 25 via the correspondingly arranged Dichtungsman cuff of the piston 21, so that the complete gripping of the Coupling does not take place jerkily but gradually.
When the gas pedal is released, the circuit is closed to ground via switch 19 and line 18, which results in valve 14 being reversed. Valve 14 closes the connection between the pipes Q and 10 and opens the connection between the opening 1.5 and the atmosphere, whereby the coupling connection is canceled again.
