Schaltvorrichtung.
Switching device. In many cases it is necessary to open and close electrical switches in a specific, repetitive sequence while strictly adhering to the time intervals. Difficulties arise here in particular when the switching operations are to be carried out in a very rapid sequence, such as in the grid control of gas or vapor-filled discharge vessels for direct frequency conversion. For this purpose, switching rollers have been used so far, in which contact pieces of different lengths are embedded in insulating compound at different distances.
According to the invention, such a Schaltvorrlehtung is provided with a circumferential part, which is assembled like a machine commutator from a plurality of conductive lamellae and interposed Isolierschich th. Depending on the required closing time, one or more interconnected lamellae are connected via a slip ring to the common power supply or return line, while the individual switching lines are connected to the brushes of the commutator that slide on the lamellae.
The time of the closing and opening of the circuits and the contact duration can easily be precisely adjusted and largely changed in such a device, e.g. B. by moving the brushes connected to the switching lines in the circumferential direction, by changing the rotational speed and finally also by changing the contact length by connecting a smaller or larger number of adjacent slats. In the drawing, an example embodiment of the device is shown. 1 shows the switching diagram, and FIG. 2 shows the switching device.
In the exemplary embodiment, it is assumed that four switching lines 9, B, C, D are to be connected alternately to a power supply line 0. These scarf lines are, as shown in Figure 2, made by means of a circumferential lamellar ring (collector), full of which lamellae the lamella L1 is connected to the power supply line 0 via the slip ring b 'and the brush o.
The brushes belonging to the individual switching lines, which are expediently arranged on the circumference of the collector, can be moved and locked on the collector. By connecting the neighboring lamellae L2, L3 etc. to the lamella L1, a contact piece of different lengths can be formed. In this way, the duration of the current connection, which is the same for each switching line, can be determined precisely at a certain rotational speed.
It is thus possible in this device a controllability that light some switching operations in continuous operation practically made possible.
