Door direction for keeping food warm and cold. There are already devices for keeping food warm and cold known which have at least one double-walled vessel in which the space between the double wall with a heat BEZW. Cooling medium is charged.
With these devices, the outer wall is made of metal and the inner wall, which is used to hold the food, is made of glass or porcelain. These devices have the disadvantage that the metal wall, due to its high thermal conductivity, brings about a temperature equalization between the contents of the device and the surrounding air relatively quickly, so that the intended purpose can only be achieved for a short time.
To eliminate this disadvantage is the purpose of the present invention. According to the same, the device has at least one double-walled bowl with a removable lid, both made of ceramic mate rial, with .die double wall of the bowl consists of a single piece. An embodiment of the subject invention illustrates the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section and Fig. 2 is a plan view.
The device shown has two bowls 1 and 2. Each bowl is double-walled and the double wall consists of a single piece made of ceramic material. The space that remains free between the double wall is intended to accommodate a heating or cooling medium. To introduce this medium, an opening 4, which can be closed by a removable stopper 3, is provided in each bowl. The space in each bowl, which is used to hold the food, is divided in a known manner by transverse walls 5 into different compartments so that the different dishes do not mix with one another.
Each bowl has a removable cover 6 (only one is shown in FIG. 1), which is also made of ceramic material. The cover has an annular elevation 7 which has an annular groove 8 on the outside of its apex. The middle part of the lid is curved inwards and see ver with a button 9 to touch. In the annular groove 8, the foot 10 of the bowl 2 placed on the cover 6 is supported. The depth of the convexity of the cover respectively. the height of the button 9 is chosen so that the latter can not touch the bottom of the bowl 2 be.
If the associated lid is attached to the latter, another bowl can be placed on it in turn, etc., so that any number of bowls can be stacked on top of one another in the manner indicated.
Since ceramic material conducts heat more poorly than metal, the contents of the bowl can be kept warm or cool longer in the described device than in the previously known devices.
