Temperaturschalter.
Temperature switch. The present invention relates to a temperature switch in which a permanent magnet is provided for abrupt movement of the switching contact element.
Such switches are already known in principle. What is new about the device according to the invention is the structural design of the same, which: is characterized by the greatest simplicity and low manufacturing costs.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically.
It means 1 the expandable tube of the temperature switch, which is attached to the base plate 1 ', 2 the non-expandable rod stuck in the tube 1, which mediates the expansion of the tube 1 on the transmission organs of the switch. 8 is a regulating nut sleeve that sits on a thread at the free end of the inextensible rod 2.
The regulating sleeve 3 is in contact through its adapter 3 'with an intermediate lever 4, which is supported on one end on the bearing 5 and at the other end with its feeler tip 4' against the arm 7 'of one about the axis 7 "in the bearing block 1" rotatably mounted part 7 is applied. 6 is a spiral spring which presses the lever 4 against the adapter 3 'of the nut sleeve 3, only for the purpose of keeping it in contact with it.
At the top of the part 7 is a flat spring 8, which at its free end carries the contact 10 which is electrically isolated from it by means of an insulating piece 9. 11 is the fixed contact with which the contact 10 cooperates and which is connected to the terminal 12. 10 'is a flexible cable that connects the movable contact 10 with the terminal 13 of the circuit to be dominated.
14 is a permanent magnet, the poles of which are fixed opposite the armature 14 at the free end of the flat spring 8.
The mode of operation is as follows: In the switched-on position shown in the drawing, the magnet 14 exerts a pull on the armature 14 ', to which the contact pressure between the contacts 1.0 and 11 corresponds. If the tube 1 expands at rising temperature, it exercises by means of the rod 2 and the nut sleeve 8 respectively. the adjustment of the same pressure on the lever 4.
The part 7 is thereby rotated a little against the direction of the clockwise movement and thus the flat spring 8, which was initially held by the pull of the magnet 14, is bent somewhat.
As the tube 1 expands, the bend of the flat spring 8 takes z11 until its tension finally overcomes the magnet pull, straightens itself and suddenly moves the contact 10 away from the contact 1.1.
When the temperature drops, the tube 1 shortens, whereby the lever 4 can move upwards again and releases the arm 7 '. After a short backward movement, the magnet 14 will suddenly attract the armature 14 'again and the contacts 10, 11 will close.
In order to set the correct relationship between the magnetic pull on the flat spring 8 and the spring force of the same, contact 11 is adjustable by means of the two nuts 12 ', whereby the air gap between the parts 14 and 14' can be changed.
10 "is a stop for the switch-off position of the contact 10, which can be fixed or adjustable.
Instead of this stop 10 ″, a second fixed contact could also be provided and connected to a terminal so that the device would then serve as a changeover switch, for example to control a motor-controlled switch, in a known manner.
In the description and drawing, the device is intended for the circuit of an elec tric heating circuit. In an analog way, it can of course also be provided for a cooling system for the opposite switching direction, for example by interchanging contact 11 with stop I.0 ", or by means of a control relay whose excitation coil is connected to terminals 12, 130 , while its switching contacts switch the electrical current on and off accordingly.
