Description
Pedal crank for bicycle. The present invention relates to a pedal crank for a bicycle. This crank is characterized in that it is divided into two branches which move apart towards the outside, reciprocally, relative to the axis to which they are connected by fittings and a fixing sleeve.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example and schematically, an embodiment of the invention.
The crank shown is constituted by a first part 1, straight, comprising the usual threaded borehole 2 in which the pedal is screwed. This first part is divided at point 3 into two branches 4 and 5 which go apart reciprocally to be connected by parts making an arc 6 and 7, with the sleeve or the fixing sleeve 8, which is fixed. . in the usual way on the transmission axis.
The advantage @bt in this way consists mainly in a greater moment of inertia, and consequently in a better distribution of the transmission of the forces, more particularly near the neutral point, which is easily exceeded. .
The described pedal crank does not present an increase in weight compared to the pedal cranks known hitherto; it is established and assembled with the same simplicity as the other my levels.
