Calciumchlorid in 25 Teilen Wasser hinzu.
Process for the preparation of a complex compound of antimony. The present invention relates to a method for preparing a complex compound of antimony, which is characterized in that an antimony compound, gluconic acid, alkali and a calcium compound are allowed to act on one another in solution.
Example: 6 parts of gluconic acid are dissolved in 45 parts of 130% sodium hydroxide solution and 4.3 parts of antimony trioxide are added in small portions to the boiling solution, which dissolve completely. It is now cooled and a solution of 6.9 parts of crystals is added. Add calcium chloride in 25 parts of water. This creates a temporary precipitation; after all the calcium chloride has been added, however, the solution is completely clear again.
If this is heated to the boil, the basic Galzium-Antimony-Gluconat separates as a white, crystalline. Precipitation, the same must be sucked off in the heat, since it goes back into solution when the liquid cools. Before separating the precipitate from the liquid, the latter is kept boiling for some time and the precipitate on the filter is washed out with hot water, then with alcohol and acetone, and dried on clay. According to the analysis, the compound has the following composition: C6H707Sb. Ca + aq.
The new body is a fine, white powder that is almost insoluble in water. It should be used as a drug or as an intermediate product for the manufacture of drugs. The complex compound is destroyed by excess added inorganic acids, while aqueous solutions of polyoxycarboxylic acids, eg. B. also of gluconic acid itself, if they are added to the compound in an equimolecular amount, the compound is converted to dissolve. In this way, water-soluble bodies are obtained in which the. Complex.
