Electric heater . It would often be convenient to be able to take certain electrically heated appliances, such as space heaters, iron , iron to / B> curling, heating pad, bed warmer, perfume burner, de, massa-e device, etc- but the size of these objects and their weight cause most of the tcmps you have to give it up.
The object of this invention is to allow this multiple use by overcoming to a certain extent this drawback, while achieving appreciable savings on the purchase price of these devices. In the device according to the invention, the heating body is removable in order to be able to be used for a whole series of similar devices. In some cases the warm-up body can be used on its own.
The appended drawing shows, to by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the invention.
The fi (,. 1 shows in partial section, longitudinal length, an iron to with removable heating body; Fig. 2 is a rear view; Fig. 3 shows, in schematic section, a foot warmer with a removable heating body; Fig. 4 is another embodiment of a similar foot warmer.
In the body of an iron to iron A is provided a housing B, in order to be able y to introduce, during the use of the iron to re pass, a removable heating body C, which is itself constituted by an electro-thermal element proper C ', surrounded by a casing C ', f, - hermetically sealed, fitted with a handle C', -and held in place by the bolt D, fixed to the iron to go back through the -vis F.
It is obvious that one could use in place of this lock another method of fixing, such as a cover, ball to res out, -etc.
The same removable heater body could be used to heat different appliances, such as water heaters, plate heaters, perfume burners, etc., in which the corresponding housing would be provided. In this way, a whole series of electrical apparatuses can comprise only one removable heating body. The cost and the bulk of the whole are considerably reduced. In addition, the heating body can be used as a plunger to heat a liquid contained in a container.
Fig. -9 shows that there is a space A' (hatched on the drawing), between the wall < B> A ' of housing B and the wall A'. C ' and space t # -st filled with a material which is a good conductor of heat.
Fig. 3 shows a foot warmer with a cover E, under which there is a housing E ', intended for, < / B> receive a removable heating body E ', such as those used in cushions or electro-thermal compresses. The heat given off by this kind of of heating body is very gentle, the filling of the cover will preferably be made of a material which is a good conductor of heat, such as fine iron wool. covered with a thin layer of cotton wool and held in place by a fabric filling.
The padded cover could possibly be replaced by a sheet metal plate, for example, forming a cover. It is obvious that one could adapt the construction of this foot warmer to the use of a heating body such as C </ B> (fig. 1).
Fig. 4 shows in section another embodiment of a foot warmer. On a support F is fixed a plate P, of material which is a poor conductor of of heat. On this support is also fixed on three sides a fabric lining F ', which forms a housing for the electric cushion P. In F5, the lining is not fixed to the support in order to be able to introduce the cushion or removable heating body in its housing.
The heating body -used, in fig. 3 and 4, could also be used for other devices, such as compresses, mats, cushions, etc. It can therefore be seen from the foregoing that not only the devices using only one and the same heating body can laugh, but that this heating body itself can affect different shapes depending on the category of devices. to which it is intended.
As it is advantageous that the tip of an iron to is hotter than the rest of the iron, one could provide for this purpose an oblique arrangement of the body of - heat inside the iron.
For the same purpose, the heating body could also be constructed in such a way that it releases more heat towards its end. These two means could be used simultaneously.
One could also make the handle of the iron to, removable so that the seems constituted by the heating body, the iron and its handle, can be reduced under a small volume.
