Ski. Beim Skilauf sind die sogenannten Hilfen (Stemmbogen, Christiania usw.) am leichte sten mit einem ganz kurzen Ski auszuführen, aber nur an glatten Übungshängen. Bei tiefem Schnee ist solch ein kurzer Ski unbrauchbar, hier kommen nur die langen Ski in Frage, welche den Läufer nicht zu tief in den Schnee einsinken lassen und leicht über Gräben und Mulden usw. weggleiten. Diese längeren Ski haben aber wieder den Nachteil, dass sie sich nur mit grosser Kraftanwendung und grosser Geschicklichkeit aus der Fahrtrichtung brin gen lassen, also Schwünge usw. erschweren.
Vorliegende Erfindung stellt einen Ski dar, bei dem zwei Gleitflächen vorgesehen sind, von denen die eine von der Spitze bis zu einer dem Ende eines kurzen Skis ent sprechenden Stelle reicht und die andere, an diese Stelle anschliessend, das hintere Ende des Skis bildet und nach oben durchgestuft ist, wobei der spezifische Belastungsdruck beider Gleitflächen nicht grösser ist als der jenige eines langen Skis.
Dieser Ski stellt also die Vereinigung der Eigenschaften eines kurzen und eines langen Ski dar. Es wird besonders bemerkt, dass die Stufe nicht wie bei andern keilförmig gestuften Skiern, dazu bestimmt ist, das Rückwärtsgleiten des Skis zu verhindern, dazu wäre auch die eine Stufe viel zu wenig. Die Kanten der vordern Gleitfläche sind scharf, um sicher abstoppen und stemmen zu können. Die Kanten der überstuften Trag fläche sind abgerundet.
Der vordere und hintere Teil des Skis können aus einem Stück hergestellt sein, es kann aber auch der hintere Teil am vordern auf- oder angesetzt sein.
In der Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungs beispiel des Erfindungsgedankens dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 die Skiunterseite mit der kurzen Gleitfläche a mit durchgehender Rille, b bezeichnet das rillenlose als zusätz liche Gleitfläche dienende abgestufte Ende. Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht mit verschiedenen. hintereinander liegenden Querschnitten des Skis.

This ski thus represents the union of the properties of a short and a long ski.
