The subject of the present invention is a flat revolving door, in particular for telephone booths, with an axis of rotation lying outside the door plane in the passage space.
Flat revolving doors for garages and the like with an axis of rotation located in the passageway outside the door level are known, the axis of rotation being arranged in the passageway in such a way that its distance from the door is at least as great as
such as the vertical distance between the axis of rotation and that side boundary wall of the passage space against which the door moves when opened.
For telephone booths, for example, such arrangements are disadvantageous in that they result in an unfavorable relationship between the booth width and door width.
Especially with telephone booths and the like, a relatively large door width is required even with only small booths: without the space covered by the door when opening on the outside of the booth becoming too large, which the present invention largely complies with.
This. is made possible by the fact that the axis of rotation is arranged in such a way that its distance from the door plane is always smaller than the distance between the axis of rotation and the plane of the cabin wall against which the door moves when it is opened. This enables the door width to be kept as large as possible in relation to the cabin width, without the space covered by the door when it is opened on the cabin exterior becoming too large.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a horizontal section of a telephone booth with the door closed, FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section of a telephone booth with the door open, FIG. 3 shows a vertical section through the booth and their door.
In the drawing, 1 is the door, 2 'the front wall, and 3, the side walls of a telephone booth are designated net. 4 designates carriers which are firmly connected to the door 1 at one end and are rotatably mounted at the other end by means of the pin 5. The latter are arranged on the side opposite the opening side of the door indicated by the arrow outside the door plane. 6 is a strut between the pin 5 and the door 1.
The pins 5 are arranged in such a way that their distance from the door plane is smaller than their distance from the plane of the cabin wall 3, against which the door moves when it is opened.
Instead of the pegs 5 attached at the top and bottom, only an upper peg of a correspondingly greater length could be arranged. In addition, rollers or balls could be used to support the door at its lower end.
