Description
Device to ensure the correctness of the X-ray tube current measurement in X-ray systems with TiRard circuitry. In the case of devices for X-ray generation with capacitors and valves in Villard's circuit arrangement, the corresponding Fig. 1 from a high-voltage transformer 1 the capacitors 2, 8, of the valve tube 4 and the X-ray tube 5 exist, the current charging the capacitors should exclusively flow through the valve tube,
the current discharging them flow exclusively through the X-ray tube. In this case, an ammeter 6 located in the circuit of the X-ray tube correctly displays the current used. (The current used here is understood to mean the current that generates X-rays in the X-ray tube in the designated focal spot). However, if the X-ray tube allows current to pass in the direction of the cathode-anode, which often happens without being noticed, the information provided by the measuring device does not allow any reliable conclusions to be drawn about the current in use. This leads to incorrect exposures or overdosing.
According to the invention, the correctness of the current measurement can be ensured in that, according to the example in Fig. 2, the measuring instrument located between the X-ray tube and valve tube is in series with a valve (7) , which controls the current in Rich The flow of the useful flow allows through, while a second valve (8) is parallel to this measuring arrangement in such a way that it is permeable to the X-ray tube in the reverse direction through flowing current.
Copper oxide rectifiers are expediently used as valves 7, 8. These can advantageously be built into the ammeter.
