Additional device for devices for generating X-rays.
The invention relates to an additional device for X-ray apparatus which is fed by a step transformer or a high-voltage transformer with a primary winding divided into steps. The additional device makes it possible to set any voltage value between the voltage levels given by the taps of the high-voltage transformer or an upstream tap changer. It can also be used to compensate for voltage fluctuations in the network. For this purpose, adjustable (ohmic or inductive) series resistors have been used up to now.
However, these have the disadvantage that the curve of the resulting voltage is distorted because the current consumed by the hot cathode x-ray tube does not run sinusoidally, whereas the voltage drop in the series resistor has the same time curve as the primary current. This is associated with a change in the radiation dose. The relationship between dose and primary voltage thus loses its clarity .. and the measure of the primary voltage can no longer serve as a measure of the dose if there are significant measurement errors. want to avoid.
According to the invention, this disadvantage is avoided in that a transformer with continuous control is used for fine control.
EMI1.1
for connecting the supply current line, terminals 2 are routed to a winding that is divided into steps. The winding 6, as in the illustrated embodiment, the. be the primary winding of the high-voltage transformer 7 divided into stages.
Likewise, the primary winding of the high voltage transformer could not have any subdivision and a step transformer between the primary winding 6 and the terminals 2 could be switched accordingly. 5 the sliding contact piece.
The controllable part is expediently chosen larger than the range of a stage of the step transformer.
