Process for improving hydraulic binders. The invention relates to a method for improving hydraulic binders.
It is known to influence the properties of the cement in one direction or the other by adding certain salts to the cement during manufacture or processing. For example, chlorides, nitrates, soluble carbonates and bicarbonates have been used as such additives.
The present invention relates to a method according to which also be certain additives to hydraulic Bindemit means, such as cement BEZW. Cement mortar, ge made and that above all enables the setting respectively. To accelerate the hardening capacity of the cements respectively. to regulate, as well as to increase the density and strength properties of the cements.
The method for improving Ilydular binders consists in adding sulfocyanic acid or a salt thereof to the hydraulic binder before it hardens. For example, cement, cement mortar, respectively. Hydrochloric acid (HCNS) or a salt of this acid is added to concrete at any stage of its preparation before or during processing. The improvement is particularly noticeable with lime-rich cements.
But it is also essentially present in cements with less lime content.
The method according to the invention is technically so particularly valuable because the sulfocyanic acid salts primarily in question are characterized by easy solubility, so that the processing of the same in the cement and the even distribution in the mortar BEzw. Concrete is guaranteed.
The sulfocyanic acid can also be used in admixture with one or more salts of sulfocyanic acid or other acids. The sulfocyanic acid salts, for example the sulfocyanides of ammonium, calcium, potassium, barium, aluminum, iron, chromium and others, can be left to act on cements both individually and in various combinations and are obtained depending on the type of selected salt or the combination corresponding effects.
For example, it is possible to achieve considerable sealing effects on cement by using aluminum sulfocyanide or barium sulfocyanide.
In addition, it has been shown that the @Sulfocyanide can also be mixed with other salts, such as chlorides, nitrates, etc., so that the combined use of corresponding salts and / or. Salt groups allows the influence of the same on cements to be dosed at will.
The effect of the calcium sulphocyanide shows itself characteristically, for example, in the setting time. With a 21 B6 aqueous solution of the calcium salt, the setting time of a Portland cement is shortened from 6 to 7 hours to about 10 to 20 minutes.
With the same solution, the setting time of iron Portland cement is reduced from 8 hours to around 23 minutes.
A strong shortening of the setting time also occurs when using the solution of the aluminum salt, at the same time a strong increase in temperature goes hand in hand with it (when using a 21 B6 strong solution, temperature increase of up to <B> 63 '</B> C), what for Outside work is particularly important in frost.
When using a mixture of calcium salt and aluminum salt in a ratio of 1: 1, it is possible to shorten the binding time to a few minutes, for example about 5 minutes. A temperature increase of about 40 ° C. occurs during this process. The particularly good dimensional stability of the cement mortar is particularly noteworthy. Emphasize concrete.
In the mixture, the aluminum sulfocyanide can also be replaced by aluminum chloride or nitrate or, conversely, the calcium sulfocyanide can be replaced by the corresponding chlorides or nitrates. Combinations of chlorides with sulfocyanides which contain the same cations also give corresponding effects.
A mixture of sulfocyanide with calcium chloride and / or calcium chloride is particularly effective. To highlight calcium nitrate and aluminum chloride or aluminum nitrate.
The easy solubility of the barium sulfocyanide also enables this salt to be used extensively, both alone and in combination. Also here is an acceleration of the setting respectively. Determine hardening, but above all essential sealing effects are remarkable.
The sulfocyanides of chromium, magnesium and the like act in a similar way.
The salts mentioned respectively. Salt mixtures can be added during the manufacturing process of the cement or only when processing into mortar or concrete; on the application of a pick-up liquid in which the salts BEZW. Salt mixtures are dissolved, has already been pointed out above.
