Grinder for the production of wood pulp with an eccentrically arranged, rotating grindstone in a rotating cage. The invention relates to a grinder for the production of wood pulp with a rotating grindstone eccentrically arranged in a rotating cage, which together with the cage gives the material to be ground a normal feed adapted to its texture and stone roughness.
With such a grinder, the feed of the material to be ground is inevitable and, after a one-time setting, remains unchanged as long as there are no jams. In the latter case, in order to prevent damage and related malfunctions, according to the invention, a device influenced by the speed of rotation of the stone acts on the normal advance, which can instantly accelerate or delay the normal advance.
This device can have a worm that normally drives the cage and acts as a rack during the normal drive, which is accelerated or decelerated at the moment, as well as a servomotor, which is under the influence of a control device running according to the stone speed.
Since in such a grinder a Rege development takes place as a function of the speed of rotation of the stone, any power-emitting machine can come into question for its drive, which is not the case if the control takes place in a known manner depending on a torque, since then drive machines are to be provided that maintain the speed even with changing torque in order to prevent the grinding stone from burning through and falling apart.
In addition, the new grinder eliminates jamming without it being necessary to change the width of the passage between the grindstone and cage, and thereby the nature of the grist, so that a grist of the same quality is obtained under all operating conditions.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated schematically and by way of example on the accompanying drawing.
1 designates a grindstone firmly connected to a shaft 2. The shaft 2 is driven by a power-emitting machine, not shown, so that the stone 1 rotates in the direction of the arrow B. 3 is a cage completely surrounding the stone 1, which is normally rotated by a screw 15 in the direction of arrow A, that is, in the same direction as the stone 1. The stone 1 is eccentrically angeord net in the cage 3, so that the grinding space 4 is present between the parts 1, 3: a wedge-shaped tapering in their direction of rotation. A Rie mentrieb 5 transmits the movement of the shaft 2 to a bevel gear 6, with which a fixed on a shaft 8 gear 7 works together.
The shaft 8 also carries a centrifugal governor 9 with a sleeve 10 displaceable on it, as well as a conical belt pulley 11. A belt 12 runs over the latter and drives a conical belt pulley 13 seated on a shaft 14. The above-mentioned worm 15 forms a whole with this shaft 14. The end 16 of the shaft 14 is connected to the end 17 of a servomotor piston 18 in such a way that the shaft 14 is likely to take part in the longitudinal displacements of the piston 18, but not the movements of the shaft 14 in rotation. The servo motor piston 18 is in operative connection with the sleeve 10 of the centrifugal governor 9 through a rod 19.
Fer ner a control slide 20 is hinged to the rod 19, which controls the flow of pressure fluid to both the spaces 21, 22 of the servo motor 23, as well as the spaces 24, 25 of a cylinder 26, which is used to guide a piston firmly connected to a belt pusher 28 27 serves, rules.
The operation of the device described is as follows: In the drawing, the parts are shown in the position that they assume under normal operating conditions. As long as these are present, the worm 15 causes a constant rotation of the cage 3, so that the ground material conveyed into the grinding chamber 4 is given a forced feed adapted to its nature and the stone roughness.
If at any point in time a jamming occurs at the grinding point, this causes a reduction in the rotational speed of the shaft 2, so that the sleeve 10 of the centrifugal governor 9 is displaced in the direction of the arrow C. The joint 29 acts as a fixed point and the control slide 20 is therefore moved downwards, so that pressure fluid from the line 30 enters the space 22 of the servo motor cylinder 23 and the piston 18 including shaft 14 and screw 15 as a result quickly in the direction of arrow D is moved.
The worm 15 now acts as a rack and causes a short backward rotation of the cage 3 and thereby an instantaneous delay in the feed, which is sufficient to eliminate the jamming that has occurred.
If, on the other hand, the grinding resistance is too small at the grinding point for whatever reason, the speed of the grinding stone 1 increases, so that the sleeve 10 of the centrifugal governor 9 moves upwards and the shaft 14 moves downwards (if open reference is made to the figure), which in turn has the consequence that the worm 15 acts as a rack for a moment and therefore causes an instantaneous acceleration of the movement of the cage 3 in the direction of the arrow A.
In all cases, the pulley drive 11, 12, 13 acts as a feedback of the regulation, that is, during an instantaneous acceleration or deceleration of the normal feed, the servo motor 26, 27 simultaneously adapts to the new feed speed so that the worm 15 can return to its central position in order to be ready again for any further intervention with the entire stroke.
In the device described, the accelerated or decelerated process is brought about by a servomotor 18, 23 which is under the influence of a centrifugal controller 9, 10 that operates according to the stone's speed. Instead of such a centrifugal governor, a centrifugal pump coupled to the grinder shaft can also be provided as the control device.
