Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Aerylsäureäthylester. Es ist bekannt, Acrylsäuremethylester cis #I_#ch Einwirken von Methanol und einem wasserabspaltenden Mittel auf Äthylencyan- hydrin in saurem Medium bei erhöhter Tem peratur herzustellen.
Es hat sich gezeigt, dass als Ausgangs material zur Herstellung von Acrylsäureestern auch Hydracrylsäure verwendet werden kann. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Ver fahren zur Herstellung von Acrylsäureäthyl- ester durch Aufeinandereinivirkenlassen von Hydracrylsäure, Äthanol und eines wasser abspaltenden Mittels in saurem Medium bei erhöhter Temperatur, z. B. bei 120 bis 180 0.
Bei der nach den üblichen Methoden durch geführten Veresterung der Acrylsäure ent stehen Verluste durch Polymerisation und Zersetzung, so dass es vorteilhaft ist, Acryl säureester über die Hydracrylsäureester her zustellen. Es gelingt, die Nebenreaktionen auf ein Minimum zu beschränken.
Es kann bei Atmosphärendruck oder da von verschiedenem Druck gearbeitet werden. <I>Beispiel:</I> 45 kg Hydracrylsäure werden mit 50 kg Äthanol und 40 kg Schwefelsäure vom spe zifischen Gewicht 1,84 vermischt und langsam unter Rühren auf 175 0 erhitzt. Es ergibt sich eine Ausbeute von 80 bis 90'/o Acry1säure- äthylester.

In the esterification of acrylic acid carried out by the customary methods, losses arise through polymerization and decomposition, so that it is advantageous to prepare acrylic acid esters via the hydracrylic acid esters. It is possible to keep the side reactions to a minimum.
It can be carried out at atmospheric pressure or there from different pressure. <I> Example: </I> 45 kg of hydracrylic acid are mixed with 50 kg of ethanol and 40 kg of sulfuric acid with a specific weight of 1.84 and slowly heated to 175 ° C. while stirring. A yield of 80 to 90% of ethyl acrylate results.
