Elektromagnetische Reibungskupplung.
Electromagnetic friction clutch. On electromagnetic clutches, in which one or more clutch parts can be axially displaced for the purpose of engaging and disengaging the clutch, the transmission of the torque between these parts was previously achieved by means of spring wedges.
This type of construction is unsuitable for the transmission of large powers, because the surface pressure on the wedges is so great that the axial displacement no longer takes place properly. In diesel operation, where negative torques also occur in many cases, and in other severe operating conditions, the wedge surfaces even have severe pitting, which leads to rapid wear.
These disadvantages are eliminated in the electromagnetic clutch according to the invention. The surface pressure is reduced to a minimum, and very abundant lubrication is also possible.
In the accompanying drawings, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown. 1 shows, in longitudinal section, a coupling with a rotating magnet coil, FIG. 2 shows the longitudinal section of a coupling with a stationary coil, and FIG. 3, a cross-section to FIG. 1 along the line A-B.
In Fig. 1 and 3, 1 denotes the coupling part firmly wedged on one shaft 2, 3 the axially movable coupling part. The bore of this latter is provided with internal teeth which can move axially in the external teeth located on the hub 4. The hub 4 is firmly connected to the shaft 5 to be coupled.
Since the toothing has a small play that would prevent the moving coupling part 3 from running smoothly, cylindrical guides between the coupling part and the hub 4 are formed on both sides of the toothing so that they cancel the radial play. The guides consist of rings 6 and 7, of which ring 6 with the hub 4, ring 7 with the movable union part 3 are screwed. The ring 7 is in several parts so that it can be put on. Between the teeth and the rings 6 and 7 there are cavities that serve to hold the lubricant. When the clutch is engaged, that is, when the clutch part 3 moves against the clutch part 1, both cavities he mentioned are reduced.
If they contain too much lubricant, it can be difficult to fully engage the clutch. In order to make this impossible, the embodiment according to FIG. 2 can be selected. 1 is in turn the coupling part firmly keyed on the shaft 2. 3 is the axially movable coupling part, which is provided with internal teeth that can move axially ver in the external teeth located on the hub 4. The cylindrical guides located on both sides of the toothing are here by rings 8 and 9 gebil det, with ring 8 turned on the hub 4 and ring 9 is screwed to the same piece.
In this case, the arrangement of the two guide rings on the same coupling part, the cavity between the toothing and ring 8 is enlarged when the coupling is engaged, while the cavity between the toothing and ring 9 is reduced in size. When moving out, the opposite process takes place. As a result, the lubricating material in the cavities is pressed through the teeth, so that good lubrication is always ensured.
