Pump for preheating the conveyed material, especially feed water. The invention relates to a pump for preheating conveyed goods, in particular feed water, in which the heat medium, in particular steam, along the whole, from one stage to the other leading Umlei or along part of the same is introduced into the conveyed goods, after Claim of the main patent.
The purpose of the invention is to disrupt the flow of the conveyed good less and to achieve a better mixture of heating medium and conveyed good, and consists in this; that the wall from which the heating medium is introduced into the conveyed material is provided with openings at an oblique angle to the direction of flow of the conveyed material for the passage of the heating medium. In order to better use the speed of the heat medium entering the material to be conveyed to increase the pressure of the material to be conveyed, the openings can be configured as nozzles corresponding to the gradient of the heat medium.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically.
1 shows part of a preheating pump in section; 2 and 3 show two different embodiments of the walls provided for the passage of the steam into the feed water.
The feed water is conveyed by a first impeller 2 keyed onto the pump shaft 1 via the diversion 8 into the impeller 4 of the following stage. The water flows past the two walls 9 and 10, which are designed as rotating bodies, which separate the steam chambers 7 and 7 'from the water room 8. The steam now flows through the openings 11 to the water and mixes with it as a result. The walls 9 and 10 are designed so that the steam is passed through the openings 11 at an oblique angle x to the direction of flow (arrow a) of the material to be conveyed into the water.
As can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, the openings 11 can be designed as circular arc-shaped or spiral-shaped slots instead of round holes. In the event that the steam has a significant excess pressure compared to the water flowing through the diversion device, it is appropriate to design the openings 11 as the gradient of the steam corresponding, for example, as narrowed and widened nozzles so that the relaxation of the The speed generated by the steam is not lost due to turbulence, but can be used to increase the pressure of the material being conveyed.
The invention eliminates the disadvantages of pumps with openings 11 at right angles to the direction of flow of the material to be conveyed, whereby pressure fluctuations of the steam adversely affect the delivery rate of the pump. If, for example, the steam pressure rises in such pumps, the pressure of the water emerging from the impeller 2 also rises. This causes a reduction in the delivery rate.
If, however, the openings 11 according to FIG. 1 are arranged at an angle, or even designed as nozzles, the higher the steam pressure increases, the more the entry speed of the steam increases, and thus the steam itself is used to convey the feed water. In this way, a reduction in the delivery rate of the pump can also be avoided despite an increase in the steam pressure.
