Reclosing device dependent on the cause of the fault. There are relay arrangements for the reclosing of switches in electrical systems known which, due to the switch position after a certain time, from turning off the switch, turn the switch on again and, if the switch turns off again each time as a result of the fault, the Finally block it again.
It is now evident in operation that if the switch is turned off for the purpose of changing operations, the switch automatically switches on again after a certain amount of time without the knowledge of the staff and thus leads to operational disruptions, if not to direct accidents; This occurrence can, however, be prevented by blocking the relay prior to switching off; In the interests of safety, however, this measure must not be addressed as sufficient.
In addition, a reclosing of the possibly still existing fault, especially if

<tb>, <SEP> during <SEP> a <SEP> restart,
<tb> for <SEP> example <SEP> on <SEP> a <SEP> overload <SEP> or <SEP> earth fault, <SEP> without <SEP> concerns <SEP> is allowed <SEP>.
<tb> The <SEP> arrangement <SEP> according to <SEP> invention <SEP> has <SEP> the
<tb> special <SEP> advantage, <SEP> that <SEP> allows you <SEP>,
<SEP> only <SEP> those <SEP> processes <SEP> in <SEP> operation <SEP> for <SEP> action
<tb> to <SEP> allow the <SEP> reclosing device <SEP>, <SEP> after <SEP> which <SEP> it is <SEP> allowed, <SEP> the <SEP> switch <SEP > switch on <SEP> again.
<tb> In <SEP> the <SEP> in <SEP> enclosed <SEP> drawing <SEP> schematically <SEP> shown <SEP> embodiment
<tb> the <SEP> invention <SEP> <SEP> is required, <SEP> that <SEP> the <SEP> relay arrangement <SEP> only reacts <SEP> to <SEP> overload disturbances <SEP>;
<SEP> es <SEP> causes <SEP> i.e. <SEP> only <SEP> the <SEP> overload relay
<tb> <I> U </I> <SEP> the <SEP> excitation <SEP> of the <SEP> two <SEP> timing relays <SEP> <I> W </I> <SEP> and
<tb> N, <SEP> during <SEP> other <SEP> protection relays, <SEP> for <SEP> for example <SEP> short-circuit relay, <SEP> from <SEP> the <SEP> action
<tb> excluded <SEP> and <SEP> therefore <SEP> in <SEP> of the <SEP> arrangement
<tb> are omitted <SEP>. The mode of operation is as follows: The overload relay U switches off switch S when the overload current occurs, so that the fault disappears. The circuit in question is not shown in the drawing because it is well known.
During this process, the overload relay U temporarily closes its special contact u1, which has the consequence that the relays W and N are energized during the duration of the overload, whereby they are currently in their uppermost position in the direction of arrow 0 and when If the fault disappears according to its time setting, slowly return to the lower starting position in the direction of arrow t.
During the expiry of the relay N, its con tact n1 is closed and the contact n, kept open; Only when the expiry time has elapsed is contact '1 opened and contact n_ closed. In the drawing the device which causes this effect is omitted for the sake of simplicity, since such arrangements are well known.
If the relay W set for a shorter period of time than relay N comes to make contact with Iol during the expiry time of relay N; so the coil circuit of E is closed and the line switch S 'is switched on.
If the relay W is now energized again during the remainder of the expiry time of the relay N, caused by the overload relay U responding again, the relay W immediately goes to the upper position, while the relay N, because not energized, continues its sequence and only after the remaining expiry time and in any case before the expiry time of relay W, its contact n1 opens. If the relay W then makes contact at contact w1, the switch rS does not switch on again,
because the coil circuit of E is interrupted by contact n1 and the inrush circuit of switch rS at contacts n1 and WI only operate as long as both contacts are closed at the same time. This shows that the combination with the timing relay is capable; to bring about a reconnection depending on the cause of the fault according to the otherwise known conditions.
