Überstrom-Selbstschalter.
Overcurrent circuit breaker. The simplest construction for fast-acting 1V maximum current switches is the well-known version, according to which the switching contacts are connected on the one hand with a constantly excited closing and holding magnet and on the other hand with an opening magnet excited by the main current. This arrangement allows the switch to be closed and opened easily and, in the event of a short circuit, results in rapid disconnection. The only difficulty is that under certain circumstances the switch can swing and thus cause malfunctions; this can occur in particular at the moment of switch-on, when it is switched on in the event of an overload.
Since the holding and closing magnet only shows its full tensile force when the switch is completely closed, but the contacts of the switch touch one another a little earlier, this oscillation phenomenon can even occur with currents that are smaller than the normal release current. The invention enables this deficiency to be remedied in a simple manner.
The essence of the invention is that the switch uses a filler contact device to de-energize the holding coil at the slightest opening movement and a momentarily responsive main current relay with a return time delay is switched in such a way that the switch does not switch on again until this relay has expired can.
The drawing shows schematically two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
1 is the movable Schaltkonta.ld, on the one hand with a main current magnet 2. on the other hand with a constantly excited holding and switch-on auxiliary current magnet 3 a related party. - Furthermore, an auxiliary contact 4 is connected to the Schaltkon contact 1 in such a way that the latter interrupts the current of the holding magnet 3 when the switch contact 1 opens at the slightest opening movement of the switch contact 1.
In parallel with auxiliary contact 4 and in series with the contacts of a main current relay, the control switch 6, which is normally open and is only closed briefly when switch 1 is switched on, is located where the current is switched on despite the contact being lifted 4 can flow through the coil of the magnet 3. The relay 5 opens at a certain current, which is less than the tripping current of the switch 1, its contacts momentarily, the precondition for a swing-free shutdown is created by the switch 1 then interrupts its holding current itself by means of its auxiliary contact 4.
The contacts of relay 5 close after the main current disappears with a time delay.
In the example according to FIG. 2, the scarf ter 1 is equipped with a closing contact 4, which short-circuits the coil of the auxiliary current holding magnet 3 when the switch 1 is opened; 7 is a series resistor in the circuit of this coil to be short-circuited. The mode of operation of the entire device is the same as in FIG. 1, only with the difference that the auxiliary contact 4 short-circuits the coil of the magnet 3 instead of interrupting it when the switching contact 1 opens.
When an overcurrent occurs, the switch 1 opens as a result of the pulling action of the Mag netes 2; the coil of the magnet 3 is short-circuited by the contact 4, which is made impossible by the switch swinging. The control switch 6 is normally closed. By opening switch 6, the current flows through the coil of magnet 3, which closes switch J. again.
The contacts of relay 5 are normally open. In the case of a current that is lower than the tripping current of switch 1, the contacts of relay 5 close instantaneously in order to open again with a time delay if the current drops.
