Description
Versenkbare Schachtabdeckung.
Retractable manhole cover. In the case of new systems on roads, the completed manhole covers, the top of which is at road level, are a major obstacle during rolling, since they always have to be avoided, and as a result the rolling work has to be carried out with loss of time. In addition, it is not possible to roll at all directly around the shaft. In the case of finished roads, almost without exception, the mismatch between the height of the road and the top of the manhole cover can be established.
The subject of the present invention is a retractable manhole cover, where the above inconveniences are completely eliminated. The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment, namely Fig. 1 shows a section A-B, while Fig. N shows a section C-D. As can be seen from the figures, the shaft cover shown consists of a fixed, lower part a, which rests on the concrete shaft wall H, and an upper part b, which can be lowered into the same.
When the road is being built, the two pieces are first pushed completely into one another, i.e. the upper edge of the manhole cover is at X, whereby the road can be rolled without difficulty. Then the upper piece b is pulled out, and the recess c in the lower piece a is filled with sand or other usable material so that the re-introduced upper piece is at street level H with its upper edge. In order to be able to regulate the manhole cover later, the filling material can be drained through openings d of the lower part a .
These are closed by closures: bl @ eche e, which run in guide channels and can be lifted at their bent head pieces. The guide plate h, which is firmly connected to the upper part piece b, prevents the filling of the cavity i by the material surrounding the shaft. In order to make the sheet easier to move, sand is introduced directly around the shaft. The cover abutment is denoted by 1 in the figure.
