Description

Process for the electrical cleaning of gases containing hot vapors. The present invention relates to a method for cleaning hot vapors, for example also metal vapors, contained in the gases, whereby the parts contained in Eden gases are to be separated off by an electrostatic precipitator.

Separation is often difficult with Jer-like gases, since the extremely dry suspended particles are very difficult to separate. The invention now shows a method by which the gases can be brought into a state in which the separation of the suspended particles is considerably easier.

According to the invention, the gases containing hot vapors are mixed with colder gases, for example air, before they enter the cleaning filter, so that partial mist is created here which considerably facilitates the separation of the suspended particles contained in the gases. Which by one

The condensate particles produced in this way have the property that they strive to a large extent: to charge themselves electrically and then to change towards the surface of the precipitation and to settle there.

The method also has the advantage that overly great humidification of the precipitation areas can be avoided by controlling the amount of gas supplied.

If necessary, devices of the type known per se can be provided, which, for example, turn controlled by a thermometer of all hygro meters and too strong cooling respectively. Prevent humidification of the gases automatically.

Furthermore, the regulating devices for the amount of gas supplied can also be taxed by the changes in the electrical current passing through the electrostatic precipitator, since the filter current is dependent on the moisture content of the gases.

   The drier it is too

cleaning gases, the lower their conductivity and the lower the current that passes through the filter.

On the other hand, the more humid the gases are, the greater is the amount of electricity flowing through the filter. These. Current: fluctuations can be used, for example, to control relays or the like, which move adjustable valves for supplying beer-cold gases in the desired manner.
