Fig. 7).
Machine for the automatic production of simple or criss-cross strapping of bundles of letters and parcels. The present invention relates to a machine for the automatic production of simple or crisscross wrapping of bundles of letters and packages.
According to the invention, the movement of the constricting organs dominating control disc is provided which has a recess in the middle for introducing the objects to be laced ver.
In the drawing, an execution example of the invention is shown. 1 shows a view from above with the cover plate generally raised, FIG. 2 shows a side view partially in section, FIG. 3 shows a contact lever from the side, FIG. 4 shows the contact lever from above, FIGS. 5 to 8 show a schematic Representation to explain the individual work processes in the machine, Fig. 9 a detail,
10 to 16 parts of a sealing and cutting device, FIGS. 17 and 18 a contact device for indicating the idling of the supply coils.
First of all, the principle of operation of the machine will be explained with reference to FIGS. 5 to 8. The lacing means 62 running off supply spools (e.g. tapes) are combined in the machine to form a tying means cross. The stack of letters 61 to be bundled is placed on this lacing cross (FIG. 5). Then, as shown in FIG. 6, the stack of letters is pressed down, since the lacing means 62 lie against the sides of the stack of letters 61.
The actual lacing is then carried out by the machine, as shown in FIG. 7, by arms arranged crosswise, which move towards the center of the machine and thereby place the lacing means around the bundle 61. These arms can, as shown in the exemplary embodiment, be straight or they can be bent at an angle to achieve smaller machine dimensions, the Füh ments of opposite arms then no longer lie in the same axis direction, but next to the side edges of the insertion opening.
As soon as the arms meet, a double seal is attached to the tying point, which, as shown in Fig. 8, is torn open in the middle so that the bundled package is detached. One seal remains on the tied package, while the other seal serves to maintain the tying cross.
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, four tape reels 2 are fastened to the base plate 1 of the machine by means of nuts 3. The nut core can be designed like a bayonet in order to enable new tape reels to be fitted quickly. With the help of nuts 3, the tape reels 2 are pressed against pressure rings 5 of the tape tensioning devices 4.
Each pressure ring 5 is pressed by a spring 6 against the top surface of this tape reel 2 and is attached to the housing 8 rotatably about the reel axis 7. The pressure ring is now carried along by the tape reel 2 by friction as soon as the latter rotates, i.e. when tape is unwound from the reel. When rotating the pressure ring 5, a coil spring 9 is tensioned GE, one end of which is fastened to the pressure ring 5 and the other end to the housing 8 BE.
The housing 8 is displaceable in the direction of the coil axis 7, but it cannot rotate. By tightening the spiral spring 9 is on. the spool 2 exerted a torque to cause tensioning of the bands. This enables a tight lacing. By changing the springs 6, the tension of the spiral springs 9 and thus the tension of the bands can be changed.
Before the machine can be started, you must. the tapes 62 running off the supply reels 2 are guided by hand to the center of the machine and linked there by hand, so that a tape cross is created. If a stack of letters is to be bundled, the same is, as already mentioned, placed on the ribbon cross. and then pressed down by hand, for example. Through this process, tape is unwound from the reels 2, which is applied to the sides of the stack.
Simultaneously with the pressing down of the stack, the locking lever 11 mounted söhwingbar on the base plate 1 are pivoted downward, the two contact levers 12 being released and pivoting ge by springs 63 (Fig. 4) over the stack. Since the axis 64 is mounted in a fork 85, which is also rotatable, the lever 12 is moved once under the influence of the spring 63 in the direction of the arrow, as shown in FIG. 4, and also under the influence of the spring 42 in FIG Arrow direction moved as shown in Fig. 3 is shown.
Each of the protruding into the insertion opening the lever 11 has a locking lug 67 through which the lever 12 is held in the dotted position. The lever 11 is rotatable about the axis 68 and is under the influence of a spring 69. If a stack of letters is now inserted into the insertion opening, the lever 11 is pressed downwards. The lock 67 for the lever 12 is released and the lever 12 moves under the influence of the spring 68 over: the stack of letters. A stop pin 13 limits the pivoting of the contact lever 12 on the stack.
As can be seen from Fig. 3, the con tact levers 12 are mounted below the control disk 17. The control disk 17 has grooves 41 into which the contact lever can einschwen ken. If the hand is now withdrawn from the stack, the spring-tensioned tape reels 2 seek to roll up the tapes again and thus push the stack upward out of the machine through the insertion opening. The stack is swiveled over it and, as already shown,
Cardanically suspended contact lever 12 held. Against the spring 42 of the contact lever 12 is turned back and the con tact 14 closed. The motor 16 is switched on via the contact 14 and the contact 15, which is also actuated in the same way.
The lever arrangement shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 is, as FIG. 1 shows, provided twice on the machine so that the motor can only be switched on when both contacts 14 and 15 are closed in order to prevent that when If the stack of letters is not horizontally inserted, the machine is already started.
By the motor 16, the control disk 317, which is rotatably attached to the base plate 1 about its center point, rotated in the direction of the arrow, namely the control disk 17 slides in a guide 70. On the circumference of the control disk 17 is a ring gear 18 arranged so that when the control disk 17 rotates, the gear 19 rotates.
As shown in FIG. 9, the gearwheel 19 has, on its underside, driver claws 71, by means of which the wire feed roller 20 is driven in only one direction of rotation. When the gear 19 is turned back, the gear 19 is lifted off the roller 20 by the shape of the driving claw.
So that the latter cannot be turned back by frictional forces, a locking toothing is provided in its lower part, into which a locking pawl 21 engages. Roll 22, which is adjustable, resiliently supports itself against roller 20. Like roller 20, it carries two grooves 72 and 73, by means of which wires 74 are fed from the superimposed wire spools 66 for sealing.
The wires 74 guided by the wire spools 66 via the grooves 72 and 73 are pushed through wire guides 84 rigidly connected to the base plate 1 into bores 28 and 29 of the sealing arm 23. If the control disk 17 is rotated further by the motor 16, the arms 23, 26, 27 and 27 'are moved to the center of the insertion opening 75 through grooves 24, 24', 25, 25 'arranged in it. The arms 23, 26, 27, and 27 'move in corresponding guides 76 on the base plate 1. The movement of the arms through the control disk is effected by the fact that the guide pins 78 are located on the arms, which are in the grooves 25 , 25 ', 24, 24' slide.
When the arms are moved to the center of the insertion opening, the tapes 62 running off the supply reels 2, which are guided over rollers 79, 80, 81 to the insertion opening, are grasped by the arms and brought to the point of constriction (cf. 7).
The two arms 27, 27 'move faster to the center than the arms 23 and 26, since the slope of the guide grooves 25 and 25' is greater than the slope of the grooves 24 and 24 '. The arms 27, 27 'lead the lacing means 62 grasped by them only to the extent that the straps 62 come from the somewhat later coming, at 92 (FIG. 12) fork-shaped arms 23 and 2.6, which also each have a strap.
62 (to be guided, grasped and stripped off, o that all four straps 62 are guided from arms 2'3 and 26 to the center of the opening. As already shown, two wires were inserted into corresponding bores 28 and 29 with the help of rollers 20 and 22 of the arm 23. As the arm 23 moves to the center, it cuts off a piece of each wire, each of which is exactly as long as the width of the arm 23. These pieces of wire are led from the arm to the center.
The cover plates 30 and 31 carrying the bores 28 and 29 have slots into which pawls 32 (hfg. 13 and 14) are pressed by springs, which are fastened to the base plate 1 so that they can swing. Moves the Arni 23, after the two pieces of wire are cut, on, so the cut pieces of wire butt against the immovably mounted, rounded pawls 32; the wire pieces are here from the holes 28 BEZW. 29 of the cover plate 30 respectively. 31 pulled out and bent into brackets.
Shortly after the brackets are bent, the pawls 32 are lifted out of the arm 23 by arranged on the cover plates 30 and 31, inclined surfaces and the arm 23 moves further to the center of the insertion opening. As soon as the arms 28 and 26 the bands all the way to the center of the opening ha ben, the control disk 17 has rotated so far that first the arms 23, 26, 27, 27 'are locked in their position.
As the control disk 17 continues to rotate, the cam 33 attached to it presses the rod 82 (FIG. 11) into the arm 2.3. The rod 82 carries at its end two Stem pel 35 respectively. 36, which push the wire clips formed by the arm 23 over the bands merged by the arms 23 and 26 and press them against suitably shaped counter bearings 137 of the arm 26 so that the wire clips are firmly attached to the bands.
After the control disk 17 has been rotated further, the cam 38 attached to it causes the rod 83 to be in the. Arm 26 pushed in. At its end, the rod 83 carries a cutting device, for example a knife 40, which cuts through the pieces of tape located between the two wire clips.
If the control disk 17 rotates further by a small angle, then the contact levers 12 jump through the action of the springs 42 into the grooves 43 or control disk 17, whereby they stand out from the contacts 14 and 15.
The circuit for the motor 16 is interrupted here by. After the motor circuit has been interrupted, a contact 46 is immediately activated by a cam 44 seated on the disk 17, via which the motor is switched on again, however. in an inverted sense of rotation,
so that the control disk returns to its original position like the one. The return of the disk 17 is limited by a stop cam 47, since the cam 47 opens the contact 46 closed by the cam 44 again.
During the return of the control disk 17, the contact levers 12 are rotated back into the starting position by the ganten of the grooves 43, into which they were pressed by the spring 42 (FIGS. 3 and 4). Likewise, the arms 23, 26, 27 and 27 'are returned to the rest position. The machine is then ready for a new work process.
The grooves 24, 24 ', 25, 25' arranged in the control disk 17 can be combined into a closed curve so that after a certain angle of rotation of the control disk 17, all parts of the machine are returned to the starting position without turning them back.
So that letters or parcels can not leave the machine unbundled ver, if the strapping material or sealing material is needed any coil ver, each tape reel 2 BEZW. Wire spool 66 on the base plate 1 of the machine, swingably attached lever 51 (FIGS. 17 and 18) by a spring 101 is pressed.
On each lever 51 sit contact springs 59, which are in the circuit of a switch-off or Signalvorrich device, not shown here. Shortly before your unwinding the last turns of any tape reel 2 respectively. Wire coil 66 touch the contact springs 52 on the coils or contacts arranged on the machine,
so that the current circuit of the switch-off or signaling device is closed.
