Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines vio  letten     Küpenfarbstoffes    der     2-Thionaphten-2'-          indolindigo-Reihe    der Formel:

    den man durch Kondensation von     5-Chlor-          4.7-dimethyl-3-oxy-l-thionaphten    mit einer  reaktionsfähigen     4,5-Dichlor-7-methylisatin-a-          verbindung    erhält.

Nach kurzem  Erwärmen auf 80-90  wird der Farbstoff  filtriert, mit Alkohol gewaschen und ge  trocknet.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur .Darstellung eines neuen Küpenfarbstoffes der 2-Thionaphten-2'-indolin- digo-Reihe der Formel: EMI0002.0001 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 5-Chlor- 4,7-dimethyl-3-oxy-l-thionaphten mit einer re aktionsfähigen 4,5-Dichlor-7-methylisatin-a- verbindung kondensiert. Trocken ist der Farbstoff ein violettes Pulver, das in kon zentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blaugrüner Farbe löslich ist; mit Natronlauge und Hydrosulfit bildet er eine gelbe Küpe, aus der die Faser echt violett angefärbt wird.
