EMI0002.0002
Damit e = 50% von E ist, muss r = R sein.
Automat for reclosing and short-circuit testing of DC circuits. Arrangements for 'automatic switching devices for direct current circuits, in particular railways, where the automatic device is actively closed again after a short circuit or overload release has occurred after the line has been tried for short circuit freedom, have long been known. The present invention relates: to such a machine, specifically of the type in which separate opening and closing magnets are used, the cores of which with one another and with the:
Switching contacts of the machine are firmly connected, and where the main current flows through the switch-off magnet and a test resistor is parallel to the switch. the switch-on magnet is excited by the line voltage, so that there is security that the line is short-circuit-free when it is switched on and that there are no sources of error.
The attached schematic drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. The automatic machine shown has a switching coil 2 that attracts the magnetic core 3. Firmly connected to the latter are the switch contact 6 and a magnetic core 5, which is attracted by the switch-off coil 4 through which the main current flows. With the movable system .3, 5, 6, an inhibiting mechanism 8 is also connected, which should delay the switch-on process, but should run freely in the switch-off direction.
The inhibiting mechanism 8 prevents the machine from being switched on again immediately, since without this an oscillation could possibly occur.
The coil 2 is fed from the line side of the machine, with an upstream resistor 7. Parallel to the machine is a short-circuit test resistor 9 with a: switch 10. The machine only switches on when the voltage .on the line, which the closing coil 2 actuated, is high enough to excite the coil so strongly that the core 3 is attracted. It is advisable to choose this voltage to be around 50% of the normal voltage.
If the machine is open and R denotes the total resistance of the load and r, that of the test resistor 9, the line voltage is e, if E denotes the total, impressed voltage:
EMI0002.0002
So that e = 50% of E, r = R must be.
