is. The armature J 'is connected by a wire to the terminal 27 and the contact 15 by a wire 30 to the terminal 29 of the circuit which activates the knocker.
It is assumed that the coils 6 of the electromagnet 4 are wound in such a way that they have a resistance of 440 ohms, while the coils of the electromagnets only have a resistance of 150 ohms. The resistance connected between the electromagnets 4, 5 is 180 ohms.
If a current now flows through the line-M, J7, the electromagnets 4, 5 are excited at the same time as a result of their parallel connection, but as a result of the arrangement just described, about eight tenths of the current flows through the electromagnet 5, so that it is excited more quickly, than the electromagnet 4, through which only two tenths of the current passes. The anchor lifter J is thus swung by the normally closed contact 14 against the contact 15 and remains in contact with this contact even after the electromagnet 4 has been fully energized, thereby closing the knocking circuit.
As soon as the line circuit 1 (j, 17 on the other hand is opened, the coils 9 of the electromagnet 5 will be switched off faster than the coils C of the electromagnet 4, so that the armature lever 1 is quickly returned to the normally closed contact 14 by the latter, whereby the Of course, apart from being a relay for telegraph lines, this switch can of course be used for other purposes, which are the closing and interruption of contacts by electromagnets.
PATENT. EXPECTATIONS :
1. Electromagnetic relay, especially for telegraph lines, in which the armature lever is arranged between two electromagnets connected to the same line, characterized in that the non-polarized electromagnets are
