Umwandelbare Karosserie mit herablassbaren Türfenstern und eingeteiltem Vorderwandfenster. Bei umwandelbaren Karosserien mit ge sondert herablassbaren Türfenstern wird die Vorderwand des Verdecks bekanntlich mehr teilig ausgeführt. Gewöhnlich besteht sie aus einem senkrecht herablassbaren ungeteilten Vorderwandfenster und zwei nach Versorgung desselben gegeneinander klappbaren Verdeck säulen. Die Säulen dienen neben der Ab stützung des Verdecks zur Führung des Vorderwandfensters und als Anschlag für die Fensterläufer der Türfenster, so dass sie also den Raum oberhalb der Türsäulen ein nehmen.
Die Erfindung bezweckt, diese Bauart durch Vermeidung der erwähnten Verdeck säulen zu vereinfachen, ohne die Vorteile der vollständigen Unabhängigkeit der Türfenster vom Vorderwandfenster aufgeben zu müssen. Gleichzeitig soll aber auch die Anordnung eines in baulicher Hinsicht bedeutend vor teilhafteren einklappbaren Vorderwandfensters ermöglicht werden.
Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass ein in die Kastenvorderwand niederklappbares, un geteiltes Vorderwandfenster unmittelbar als Anschlag für die Türfensterführungen dient. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform kann das Vorderwandfenster in der Gebrauchs lage bei umgelegtem Verdeck mittelst einer Verriegelung, die mit dem Schliessen der Türe wirksam wird, gesichert werden.
In der Zeichnung sind ein Ausführungs beispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes und eine Detailvariante dargestellt. Fig. 1 zeigt die Karosserie in Ansicht; Fig. 2 zeigt das Vorderwandfenster allein in Ansicht; Fig. 3 zeigt einen Schnitt durch das Vorderwand fenster und die Türfensterführung nach der Linie 12-13 in Fig. 1; Fig. 5 zeigt einen Horizontalschnitt durch die Tür- und Kasten säule bei eingeklapptem Fenster; Fig. 4 be zieht sich auf eine Detailvariante; Fig. 6 zeigt einen gleichen Horizontalschnitt wie Fig. 5, entsprechend der bekannten Bauart bei herabgelassenem Vorderwandfenster. Der Kasten 1 ist mit dem umlegbaren Verdeck 2 versehen. Das Türfenster 3 ist in bekannter Weise in die Türe 4 versenk bar.
Das ungeteilte Vorderwandfenster 5 mit Scheibe 5' ragt in seiner Breite noch etwas über die Türfensterführungen 6 hinaus und hat an der Rückseite einen Winkel 7 als Anschlagfalz für die Führung 6. Das Vorder wandfenster ist durch ein über seine ganze Breite reichendes Scharnier 8 mit dem Kasten 1 verbunden. Die Scharnierachse geht durch die Türfuge, so dass das Fenster in der ein geklappten Stellung vor die Türfuge zu liegen kommt, das Schliessen der Türe also nicht hindert. Damit das Vorderwandfenster 5 auch bei umgelegtem Verdeck benützt werden kann, ist es auch durch die Türe verriegel- bar. Zu diesem Zwecke ist am Winkel 7 (Fig. 2 und 3) ein Ansatz 10 vorgesehen, der in einen an der Türe befestigten Haken 11 eingreift und das Fenster auf diese Weise verriegelt.
Die Verriegelung tritt beim Schlie ssen der Türe ein. Bei offenen Türen ist die Verriegelung somit gelöst, und das Vorder wandfenster kann zum Zwecke seiner Ver sorgung nach Öffnung des Fachdeckels in die Vorderwand, d. h. in die Rücklehne der Vordersitze um den Drehpunkt 8 umgeklappt werden.
Das Vorderwandfenster dient unmittelbar als Anschlag für die Türfensterführungen, so dass die vorderen Verdecksäulen im Gegen satz zur früheren Bauart (Fig. 6) wegfallen. In dieser Figur ist die Verdecksäule mit 15, das Vorderwandfenster mit 5'', das Tür fenster mit 3'' bezeichnet. Das Vorderwand fenster ist nur so breit gehalten, dass es zwischen den Türsäulen 16 heruntergleiten kann. Um bei der dargestellten Ausführungs form das Fenster 5 in die in Fig. 5 gezeich nete Stellung einklappen zu können, muss der freie Raum zwischen den Kastensäulen 17 durch Falze 18 derselben so weit ver breitert werden, dass das eingeklappte Fenster Platz findet.
Da das Fenster 5' in der Ge brauchsstellung an zwei räumlich voneinander getrennten Stellen, nämlich durch das Schar nier 8 und den in den Haken 11 eingreifen- den Ansatz 10 gelagert ist, so ist es auch bei umgelegtem Verdeck ausreichend ge sichert. Selbstverständlich können auch die Türfenster 3 bei umgelegtem Verdeck mit oder ohne Vorderwandfenster benützt werden. In der in Fig. 4 dargestellten Ausführungs variante weist das Vorderwandfenster 5 beider seits eine kleine, mit dem Vorderwandfenster fest verbundene Holzsäule 14 auf und daher beim Einklappen des Fensters an diesem verbleibt.
Die Vorteile dieser Holzsäule liegen darin, dass für die Seitenteile des Vorder wandfensters keine besonderen Profile ver wendet werden müssen und die unter Um ständen verschiedenartig geformten Fenster führungen in die Holzsäulen leicht und be quem eingelassen (eingefalzt) werden können und der erforderliche Zwischenraum der Teile durch einfaches Anarbeiten hergestellt werden kann.
Die beschriebene. Karosserie weist gegen über den bekannten Bauarten eine wesent liche Verbesserung, hinsichtlich der Festigkeit der Fensteranordnung ein gefälligeres Aus sehen und eine leichtere Handhabung auf. Durch die Verringerung der beweglichen Teile ist auch das Auftreten unliebsamer Geräusche während der Fahrt weniger zu befürchten.

In convertible bodies with ge separate lowerable door windows, the front wall of the convertible top is known to have more parts. At the same time, however, the arrangement of a front wall window that can be folded up significantly from a structural point of view should also be made possible.
The invention consists in that an un divided front wall window that can be folded down into the box front wall serves directly as a stop for the door window guides. In a preferred embodiment, the front wall window can be secured in the position of use with the convertible top folded down by means of a lock which becomes effective when the door is closed.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention and a detailed variant are shown. Fig. 1 shows the body in view; Fig. 2 shows the front wall window alone in view; Fig. 3 shows a section through the front wall window and the door window guide along the line 12-13 in Fig. 1; Fig. 5 shows a horizontal section through the door and box column with the window folded; Fig. 4 refers to a detailed variant; FIG. 6 shows the same horizontal section as FIG. 5, corresponding to the known design with the front wall window lowered. The box 1 is provided with the folding top 2. The door window 3 is sunk in the door 4 in a known manner.
The undivided front wall window 5 with disc 5 'protrudes in its width a little beyond the door window guides 6 and has an angle 7 as a stop fold for the guide 6 on the rear side 1 connected. The hinge axis goes through the door reveal so that the window comes to rest in front of the door reveal in the folded position, so it does not prevent the door from closing. The front wall window serves directly as a stop for the door window guides, so that the front convertible top pillars are omitted in contrast to the earlier design (Fig. 6). In this figure, the top pillar is denoted by 15, the front wall window with 5 ", the door window with 3". The front wall window is only kept so wide that it can slide down between the door pillars 16. In order to be able to fold the window 5 into the position shown in FIG. 5 in the illustrated embodiment, the free space between the box columns 17 must be widened by folds 18 of the same so far that the folded window finds space.
Since the window 5 'in the use position is stored at two spatially separate locations, namely by the hinge 8 and the projection 10 engaging in the hook 11, it is sufficiently secured even with the top down. Of course, the door windows 3 can also be used with or without a front wall window when the top is down. In the variant embodiment shown in Fig. 4, the front wall window 5 on both sides a small wooden column 14 firmly connected to the front wall window and therefore remains on this when the window is folded.
The advantages of this wooden column are that no special profiles have to be used for the side parts of the front wall window and the window guides, which may be of various shapes, can be easily and conveniently let into the wooden columns and the necessary space between the parts is provided simple processing can be produced.
