Description

  Quelques applications de l'objet de la pré  sente     invention    sont schématiquement repré  sentées sur le     dessin        ci-a.nnexé        dans    lequel  La     fig.    1 montre les saillies du joint;  La     fig.    2 montre les cavités pour les sail  lies du joint;

    La fig. 3 représente deux pièces en bois assemblées conformément à la présente in- vëntion; La fig. 4 montre deux pièces métalliques réunies par le procédé d'assemblage suivant l'invention; Les fig. 5 et 6 montrent d'autres formes d'exécution d'assemblage suivant le procédE, d'après la présente invention.

  Assembly process for connecting two pieces of wood, metal, etc. The object of the present invention is to provide a practical and rapid joint, capable of replacing in any application the dovetail assemblies so widely used for joining two pieces of wood, metal, etc., with the great advantage that the parts to be connected can be connected not only at a right angle, but at any angle.

  The essential advantage of the invention is to provide an assembly which can be mass produced or mechanically produced using very simple tools such as drills and cutters.

  Some applications of the object of the present invention are schematically represented in the drawing attached a.nnex in which FIG. 1 shows the protrusions of the seal; Fig. 2 shows the cavities for the seams of the seal;

    Fig. 3 shows two pieces of wood assembled in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 4 shows two metal parts joined together by the assembly method according to the invention; Figs. 5 and 6 show other embodiments of assembly according to the process, according to the present invention.

  In these figures, 1 denotes a part to appear, which is provided with cylindrical projections 2 formed at its end and integral with said part, 4 denotes the second part in which the cavities 5 with arrests 6 at the end are drilled. inside which must engage the cylindrical projections 2. The cylindrical projections 2 of the. part 1 have a direction perpendicular to the plane of this part, while the cavities 5 of the other part are formed in the plane of this part.

  It is easy to see that the reunion of the two parts can be carried out in a very simple and very practical way since it suffices to engage with the aid of a slight pressure the projections generated on one of the parts in the cavities in the other part to obtain a strong and solid coupling given! that the extreme stops of these cavities maintain the projections in their operating position. In the particular case where a low pressure would not allow it .seule to easily couple the two parts, it would suffice, to easily achieve the meeting, to lightly lubricate the two parts of the seal.

  Thanks to the regular and simple geometric shape of the parts to be assembled, they can be obtained mechanically in large series and so that they are interchangeable.
