Description

It is known, frameless sliding glass doors for closets4 shop windows, etc. for the purpose of facilitating .der Verschiebebewe movement to support on balls arranged in the guideways of the doors, the movement path of which is limited by stationary pins. This type of support for sliding glass doors has various disadvantages.

For example, when balls are left behind when the doors are moved, they (especially if they are narrow) are easily tilted, or when balls hit the stationary pins (after moving with the door), a braking effect occurs exercised on the door; or the movement of the doors is restless if the balls (as is usually the case) are at different heights below one another due to the uneven nature of the base on which the guideway is attached.

These disadvantages are eliminated by the fact that the frameless sliding glass door forming the subject of the invention is supported on its guide track by means of several ball bearing rollers mounted on it, in order to ensure that the door can be moved easily.

In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention in Fig. 1 is illustrated in elevation, while Fig. 2 shows cross-sections through different locations of two doors arranged side by side.

The individual frameless sliding glass door A has on the lower longitudinal side a metal shoe 1 which surrounds the glass pane and is provided with two rollers 2. These rollers 2 are formed by bolts on the support 3 mounted ball bearings so that they can be moved very easily.

The two sliding doors A are at the bottom with their shoe 1 each in one track of a double guide rail 4 with intermediate leg 5. In each of the two tracks of the double guide rail 4, a wooden bar 6 is attached, on each of which a flat rail 7 is screwed, which the sliding door in question serves as a tread. The purpose of this type of training of the guideway is to prevent the usual fastening of the guide rail on wood, due to warping of the wood, the frequently occurring significant curvature of the path and the resulting disruption of the movability of the doors.

The arrangement of rollers on the sliding door makes it easy to move the door, which is also located at the top in a guide, as is readily apparent, without the risk of tipping over and irrespective of whether the rollers are in the same position or not. The type of training of the company management also has a dampening effect.
