Contact arm support for voters. The invention relates to dialers for telephone systems, the contact arms of which are attached to a support provided with lifting and rotating gears, longitudinally displaceable and rotatably supported.
Since with such a selector the rotary toothing is taken along with the lifting movement of the contact arm support, the teeth of this toothing must be dimensioned ent neither so wide that the associated pawls can act on the toothing at any height of the contact arm support, or they are at ge Wide pawls required for normal tooth dimensioning.
The invention is now directed to a selector with wide rotary teeth, so that pawls of normal dimensions can be used for this purpose, and aims to be a particularly advantageous arrangement of these teeth, which according to the invention is achieved in that the lifting teeth and the rotary teeth are approximately the same length and are at the same altitude. As a result, the total height of both gears can be significantly reduced despite the wide dimensioning of the Drehver gearing, which is part of the advantage, for example, with regard to the space for the construction of such voters.
The invention is described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 is a front view of those parts of the selector which are necessary for an understanding of the invention; Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the voter axis and associated parts cut through line A-A; Fig. 3 is a side view of Fig. 2. In the figures, the voter axis is denoted by 1, which is rotatably mounted on the voter support plates 2 and 3. On the axis 1 a longitudinally displaceable half-cylinder 4 is arranged, which has teeth 5 (rotary toothing) the length of the half-cylinder 4 on its outer circumference.
In order to reduce the weight of the half-cylinder, it is provided with several recesses 6 which run in the longitudinal direction of the half-cylinder. This is mounted on the axle 1 at both of its ends 7. It is guided thereon by means of a longitudinal slot 8 provided in the axis and a pin screw 9 on the lower bearing piece 7.
On the half cylinder 4, the rack 11 carrying the contact arms 10 is arranged with the lifting toothing on one side, for He ben the half cylinder 4, as well as the contact arms 10 and on the opposite side a plate 12 with teeth 12 ', which after been digter lifting movement of the contact arm support 4, 11 engage in the first rotating step in a segment 13 arranged on the stationary part of the selector to hold the raised contact arm support 4, 11 in the respective position surrounded.
As the figures of the drawing clearly show, the length of the half cylinder 4 is smaller than that of the rack 11, so that the height of the selector is not increased by the half cylinder 4.
In the rest position of the selector, the teeth 12 'are located within a cutout 14 of the segment 13, so that the lifting movement of the contact arm support is not hindered by the segment. The latter takes place through the pawl 16 of the armature 17, which engages in the rack 11, and which is assigned to the lifting magnet 15. In the raised position, the contact arm support 4, 11 is held by the pawls 18 and 16 before the rotary movement. If the contact arm support is raised by a certain number of steps for the purpose of setting the contact arms 10, the Rebmagnet 15 is switched off again.
To further adjust the contact arms 10, the contact arm support 4, 11 is now rotated step by step by means of the rotary magnet 19 by means of the working pawl 20 of the armature 21. Already in the first turning step, the teeth 12 'with the tooth gap just in front of the segment 13 engage and now hold the contact arm support in the raised position because the rack 11 was moved out of the loading area of the pawls 16 and 18. Since the teeth 5 of the Drehver toothing extend over the entire length of the half cylinder 4, the working pawl 20 and the pawl 22 of the rotary magnet 19 in each raised position of the contact arm support in this toothing engage and rotate the latter gradually.
Now get the contact arms 10 during the gradual adjustment in contact with the selected fixed contacts of the contact bank, not shown here, the rotary magnet 19 is switched off and the connection is established Ver.
The return of the contact arm support 4, 11 to its rest position can be done in any way, for example by continuing to rotate the contact arm support to the last tooth of the rotary toothing 5, whereupon it, released from the segment 13, due to its own weight in the lowest position on the axis 1 slides along and then, for example, under the action of a spring tensioned during the adjustment movement of the contact arm support, is rotated back into its initial position so that the contacts perform a complete square movement.
