Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, deux formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention: La fig. 1 est une élévation d'une première forme de portemanteau .dans la position de fermeture, la position d'ouverture maximum étant figurée en traits mixtes; La fig. 2 est une vue de face de cette pre mière forme; La fig. 3 est une coupe à grande échelle suivant.le plan projeté en A-A de la fig. 2, montrant le mécanisme de blocage; La fig. 4 est une vue du mécanisme par derrière correspondant à la fig. 3;
Cependant, on a représenté, fig.
Safety coat rack. We have already imagined safety supports for coats, hats, etc. in which a movable arm comes to rest on a fixed part while keeping the object removed from the position locked, and can only be released by means of a special key.
However, the devices built up to now are of delicate and expensive mechanical construction, and besides their practical operation is random, they have drawbacks, such as that of not constituting a means of safety locking, a "pass-through". everywhere "can very easily unblock the movable member.
The present invention relates to a safety coat rack, comprising a movable or gane coming to be applied on a fixed part and thus preventing the removal of the objects which it carries.
This coat rack is characterized in that it has pawls, mounted opposite a ratchet, and fulfilling the dual role of blocking elements for the movable member of the device and of safety locking elements. , and members intended to immobilize the operating key on the coat rack as long as the latter is open, and to release it automatically when the garment is tightened.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention: FIG. 1 is an elevation of a first form of coat rack. In the closed position, the maximum open position being shown in phantom; Fig. 2 is a front view of this first form; Fig. 3 is a section on a large scale according to the plan projected at A-A of FIG. 2, showing the locking mechanism; Fig. 4 is a view of the mechanism from behind corresponding to FIG. 3;
Fig. 5 is a section taken along the plane projected at B-B of FIG. 4; Fig. 6 shows the adaptation of the mobile part to the fixed part; Fig. 7 relates to a second embodiment.
With reference to the drawing, it can be seen that the coat rack essentially comprises: A fixed support -A, comprising a box B containing the locking mechanism, terminated by a mushroom a, preferably of plastic material, and being able, by any hub appropriate, be hung on a wall or any desired support; for this purpose, three fixing lugs b have been shown; A movable arm C, preferably of curved shape, pivoting on an axis c, and carrying at its free end an elastic buffer d, such as made of rubber, which can, by the rotational movement of the movable arm, be brought into contact fungus a.
The movable arm C is provided with a fixing pin e having a portion with a square section and a cylindrical portion.
The tenon e can engage in a ratchet having teeth the latching, mounted on the axis c, provided with two bearing surfaces i ve n pivoting on the cheeks j1 and j2 of the box, the cheek j1, removable, allowing mounting the mechanism; the ratchet is clamped between a ring f assembled on the tenon, by means of a pin, for example, and the shoulder which constitutes the part with a square section of the tenon.
The ring f could moreover be replaced by any other mounting device, such as a nut.
A spring tends to return the movable arm to the open position.
Opposite the ratchet are arranged pawls k, mounted side by side on the same tree Z around which they can pivot, each being held in contact with the ratchet by a spring ml.
According to the invention, these pawls are not identical, but all of different lengths, the difference separating the shortest from the longest being equal to the length of the pitch of the teeth of the ratchet.
In the example shown, the pawls are seven in number, and are arranged in the order of their increasing lengths, the difference in lengths of two consecutive pawls being equal to one seventh of the length of a hollow. or not of the toothing of the rock.
A key D which can engage in a sleeve n comes to press on the ends of these pawls opposite their beak and thus causes them to tilt, producing a bending of the springs W. When all these pawls are brought to the tilting position, and to. only then the ratchet is released.
On the other hand, each pawl can be provided, at the point where the key D bears, with a notch such as k ', these notches being equal or not at will and with variable arrangements, as shown in fig. 4. A simple calculation shows that the number of different arrangements which can be obtained with the aid of seven different recesses, on the set of the seven pawls, is 5,040.
For each of these arrangements, one can construct a key and only one, which, cut along the corresponding profile, a suitable projection k 2 located facing each recess k ', as shown in FIG. 4, will cause all pawls to tilt and release the ratchet. Thus, each device has its own key.
In addition, the device comprises an angled lever o, p, articulated at a fixed point q of the box B of the support, which has; at its upper part, a tooth r, and the arm o of which is opposite a finger s carried by the axis c. This finger immobilizes the lever o, p as long as the movable arm is raised (mixed lines fig. 1, solid lines fig. Â).
The tooth r can enter, through a notch in the sleeve 7a, in a recess t of the key, when the latter is in the position which corresponds to the tilting of the pawls k, a spring u tending to maintain the lever o , p, in the disengagement position of tooth r.
This device for immobilizing the key offers the advantage of locking the latter by the movable member itself. However, there is shown, FIG. 7, an alternative embodiment of this device, in which the lever, reduced to a simple lever o 'provided with a tooth r', is pushed towards the engagement position, of the tooth by a spring U '. The release of the key is produced, for example, by a finger s 'carried by the axis c, which engages between the lever o' and the sleeve of the key,
during the closing maneuver of the movable arm.
This coat rack works as follows: The key D being initially fully engaged and held by the tooth r, the ratchet g is released and the mobile arm C can be moved at will .
The clothes and objects to be deposited are then placed on the mushroom a and the movable arm is lowered by pressing the buffer d against the clothes to achieve a suitable tightening.
At this moment, the finger s releases the lever o, p, which releases the key D, and produces the application of all the pawls k against the ratchet g.
This is thus blocked; indeed, the immobilization of the ratchet can be produced by an angular displacement of the movable part corresponding to one seventh of the length of a tooth, one of the pawls will certainly come, for any position of the movable arm C, to immobilize the ratchet g.
It can therefore be seen that, by the tightening of the clothing between the fixed part and the movable organ, both the blocking of the assembly and the release of the key, which can be carried with you, are achieved.
To release the clothes or other objects deposited, it suffices to reinsert the key D in the sleeve n up to the engagement position of the tooth r; < / I> the ratchet g is thus released and the movable arm C is raised, by the effect of the spring m, into the opening position @.
We can therefore see that this safety coat rack is quick and easy to use; the theft of deposited objects is thus impossible: the key being retained by the open device, it is impossible for it to be lost or taken inadvertently by the owner of said deposited objects.
Of course, the preceding provisions are indicated only by way of example, and any modifications concerning the shapes, dimensions, locations of the components, the materials used, the details of execution can be made - without changing for that the principle of invention. In particular, it is understood that it is possible to give the locking mechanism an arrangement opposite to that shown, the pawls belonging to the movable member and the ratchet to the fixed part. Likewise, it is possible to -give the key locking the pawls. another arrangement, many mechanisms known in locksmithing being able to be applied.
In addition, the number of these pawls can be increased, in order to increase the number of different combinations, and consequently, the safety of the locking.
