Description
Method and device for producing twisted conductors from insulated partial conductors. The invention relates to a Ver drive to free twisted conductors, which consist of insulated th sub-conductors and for example for electrical machines and apparatus made of stranded enamel wire and the like forth, to free from their insulation at individual points. Up to now it has been customary to splice the twisted conductors at the points to be freed from the insulation and to clean the subconductors individually. However, this method is cumbersome and expensive.
The insulation could also be removed chemically without untwisting the twisted conductor; however, this method is imperfect because the detergent does not penetrate well between the superposed wires. The invention gives a much simpler and more perfect process.
According to the invention, the partial conductors are freed from their insulation before being joined together at the individual locations.
An embodiment of the invention is explained with reference to the drawing. Enamel wires d run through a stranding machine in the direction of the arrow in order to be stranded into a continuous overall conductor l. The wires d are sanded over a short distance by hand at a point a accessible from all sides. The overall conductor 1 coming out of the machine is free of insulation at point b, it can be cut off here and then has completely bare conductor ends that can be soldered without further processing and provided with connection clamps or the like. In the same way you can prepare branch points in the middle of the conductor.
To remove the insulation, one can advantageously use a device which can be automatically engaged and disengaged depending on the course of the stranding machine. For this purpose, an emery or scraping device is used, for example, which is conveniently controlled by a cam gear. According to the four invention described, other insulated sub-conductors of any type can also be combined to form twisted conductors with bare connection points.
