Expansionspfropfen.
Expansion plug. In the main patent, an expansion plug is provided, in which two bodies are placed against an elastic ring, which can be brought closer to each other by means of pressure and of which the one against the inside of the vessel is made of poorly heat-conducting material.
The subject of the present invention now forms an improvement over the main patent, which consists in the fact that the body coming to the outside is designed as a thin disc which is connected to the first-mentioned disc by a pin.
The subject matter of the present invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the following drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the expansion plug in the expanded state, so that the bottle is closed, FIG. 2 shows the plan of FIG. 1, 3 shows a vertical section through the expansion plug in the non-expanded state, the figure shows the plug in the state before it is inserted into the bottle, FIG. 4 shows a plug of a smaller format than in FIG.
The stopper has a rubber ring 4 on which the disks 5 and 3 rest. While the disk 5 is made of material that conducts heat poorly, the disk 3 is pressed from sheet metal. The metal sleeve 6, which carries the thread for the pin 2, is pressed into the disk 5. The pin 2 carries the pin 8 for the lever 1, which presses with its nose on the disc 7, which is placed on the disc 3.
The mode of operation of the present construction is as follows: Before the expansion plug is inserted into the bottle or can neck who can, the lever 1 is brought into the position as shown by FIG. In this position, the disks 3 and 5 are so far apart that the elastic ring 4 is in the uncompressed state and consequently the outer diameter of the ring 4 is such that the plug can be easily inserted into the bottle neck.
However, if the expansion stopper is to close off the contents of the bottle or can, the lever 1 is brought into the position according to FIG. 1 after the stopper has been inserted into the neck, so that the nose 9 of the lever 1 presses on the discs 7 and 3. As a result, the disks 3 and 5 are brought closer to one another and the elastic ring 4 is pressed together. By pressing together this, however, the diameter of the ring 4 is increased, the ring being pressed firmly against the inner wall of the neck of the bottle or can.
By unscrewing and unscrewing the pin 2, the pres solution of the ring 4 is regulated against the inner wall of the neck by the discs 3 and 5 more or less approached to each other and thereby the elastic ring is more or less compressed, wel cher his accordingly outer diameter changed. Since the disk 5 is made of material that conducts heat poorly and also the elastic ring 4 eats a bad Teeiter for heat, no heat can get from the inside of the bottle to disk 3, since the metal pin 2 from the disk 5 from no heat is supplied.
So it conduct both discs ben 3 and 5 no heat away, despite the fact that one disc 3 is made of metal.
The same is the case with the plug of smaller format provided in Fig. 4. The body 11, which conducts heat poorly, and the metal disk 17 are placed against the elastic ring 10. In the body 11, the metal sleeve 12, which carries Ge threads, is pressed. The pin 13, which receives the pivot pin 16, engages in the thread. The lever 15 with the nose 14 is rotatably attached to the latter. The mode of operation is the same as in the construction according to FIG. 1.
Of course, the expansion plug can also be carried out in a different way than shown, and the construction presented is intended only to serve as an example. For example, the disk 3 can also be made of a material other than metal.
