,Ces organes communiquent aux poulies 15,- 16 un mouvement en vue de déplacer- les lames ,5 et 6 l'une par rapport à l'autre de telle manière que, lorsque leur mouvement ascensionnel se produit, elles se trouvent d'abord à. la même hauteur;
Mechanical device for controlling the blades of weaving looms. The blades of looms, which are controlled by means of levers or steps, have, to produce plain weave, their suspension ties applied to blade pulleys in such a way that while one of the blades rises , the other goes down, in order to produce the crowd for the admission of the frame.
It often happens that, when the fabric must have the warp very tight, that is to say with many threads per unit of width, when they are made. the movements to get the crowd, friction occurs between them which gives rise to their rupture.
The purpose of the mechanical device, which is the object of the present invention, is to avoid this inconvenience. According to the invention, this object is obtained by the fact that the device comprises a pair of blades for each series of @ wires which raise or lower simultaneously and that the blades of each pair perform a relative displacement in height during each lifting or flap movement, this movement being obtained,
thanks to the fact that the two said blades of each pair are suspended from (the pulleys controlled by a set of organs which produces their rotation and which is itself actuated by the axis of blade-carrying pulleys functioning as a pulley of forwarding during operation.
The attached schematic drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 3 represent the device at the beginning and at the end of the movement of the blades to obtain the shed, and fig. 2 shows said device halfway through this movement.
1 and 2 represent the steps or control levers of. blades of a power loom, which are in turn controlled by eccentrics 3 and 4 respectively.
Instead of a single blade for the even threads and another for the even threads, there is two for each series of threads, as seen in 5, 6 and 7, 8; the. pair of blades 5, 6 carries at its lower part a tie rod 9 which passes over a pulley 10, and the ends of which are joined to each of said blades. The pulley 10, mounted on a support 11, goes up and down with step 2 by virtue of a tie rod 12 which connects this support 11 to said step 2. - The blades 5,; 6 have independent tie rods one on the other 13 and 14, which apply to respective pulleys 15 and 16 whose axis 17, common to both, is driven by a guide 18 in the movement of up and down which it is animated.
Lies 15 and 16 are suspended by means of a tie rod 19 from ordinary pulleys 20; on the axis 32 of these pulleys is fixed an arm 21 articulated at 22 to a rod 23 which is part of a set of members 23, 24, 25, 26, the latter being so- .l, idaire of the axis 17. of pulleys 15, 16.
These members communicate to the pulleys 15, - 16 a movement with a view to moving the blades, 5 and 6 with respect to each other in such a way that, when their upward movement takes place, they are first at. the same height;
then they lose this equality, one lagging behind in relation to the other (fig. 2), and finally they return to the same height when the upward stroke arrives or is close to reaching its limit (fig. 3). ); in this way the blades 5, 6 during the upward movements they perform simultaneously by .suite of the winding of the tie rod 19 on its pulley 20 .subject by the effect of the tie rods 13, 14 , the aforementioned relative displacement movement, caused by the set of members 21, 23, 24, 25, 26.
The rods 23 and 25 are articulated on the arm 21 and the lever 24 by means of pivots which can be fixed in different positions of the elongated eyelets 27, 28 in order to be able to adjust the action of said set of members at will.
Fig. 1 shows the positions of the mes 5, 6 at the lower end of their descent stroke, by virtue of which the threads 30, 31 which pass through them respectively form substantially the same sheet. On the contrary, FIG. 2 shows the positions of the blades 5, 6 at half of their travel of my t6e or descent, the son 31 being higher than the son 30, forming between them a determined angle.
In this last position, the threads of the blade 6 which have already passed over the threads of the blade 8 are in. way of passing above the son of the blade 7. It is therefore understood that the passage of the son of the two blades 5 and 6 above those of the blades 7 and 8 is carried out in several distinct steps, and therefore without friction or collision of one with another. The same happens when the blades 5, 6 go down and the blades 7, 8 go up.
It is not necessary to describe the organs of the device with regard to the measures 7, 8, because they are similar to those described with respect to the blades 5, 6, as can easily be understood by simple inspection. tion of the drawing; for the desired clarity it is said only -that the rod 23 'is pivoted at 22' on an arm located behind the arm 21 and also integral with the axis 32.
