Description

Casse-noix.

Nutcracker. The subject of the invention is a nutcracker which can also serve as a nutcracker which comprises a frame forming, on the one hand, a base intended to support the nut or nut and, on the other hand, an upright supporting a screw jaw being able to move in said upright perpendicularly to the base, so that the nut can be broken up and the nut by clamping it between the base (1; the. jaw '.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, - one embodiment of the object of the invention.

The fi-. 1 la shows part in elevation and part in section; Fig. 2 at 'is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1.

The nutcracker shown comprises a frame 1, preferably cast iron, forming, on the one hand, uiit, c1mhase? slightly concave and intended to support the nut or the nut 3, on the other hand, an upright 4 <i three arms supporting the screw 5 of a jaw 6. The screw 5 can be placed in a tapped hole in said upright, perpendicular to the base?, so that the nut or hazelnut can be broken by clamping it between the base 2 and the jaw 6.

The screw 5 is provided, at its outer end, with two fins 7 using which it can be controlled; it has several threads with rapid pitch, which has the effect that the screw always tends, by gravity, to screw itself into the upright of the frame and to bring the jaw (> and the base 2 one of the Conversely, when the tool is lifted by the fins 7, it is the frame 1 which starts to turn and moves along the screw 5, so that the jaw and the base are released. move away from each other.

The nutcracker described makes it possible to easily break nuts or hazelnuts without the risk of crushing them. Constructed of metal and nickel, it makes a lovely table setting.
