Ironing press. The invention relates to ironing presses with a swinging, heated ironing shoe, which is moved down onto the ironing table, for example, by hand, whereupon a strong pressure is exerted by means of a toggle lever. The latter has hitherto been effected by means of a foot lever or an IC force drive, for example an eccentric moved by an electric motor.
The foot lever drive requires a great deal of effort, while the electric motor drive consumes a lot of electricity and causes the gear and eccentric gears to wear out quickly.
The invention now provides an ironing press in which these inconveniences are avoided ver. According to the invention, the pressing force is exerted by an electromagnet, the core of which engages the toggle lever with a pull rod, so that only a few easily movable parts are present and operational reliability is increased. Furthermore, since no idle current is consumed, there is also a considerable saving of electricity compared to presses with an electric motor drive.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in a vertical longitudinal section.
The toggle lever 5, 6 acts on the rocking lever 3 of the bracket shoe 9, which is rotatable about the axis 1 of the frame 2. On the lever arm 6 a bushing 8 is pivotable on pin 7, which is connected ver by a hollow rod 9 to the core 10 of an electromagnet.
Its winding 11 is arranged on a rod 13 which is movable about an axis 12 and which is passed through the core 10, the rod 9 and the sleeve 8 and at the end carries a rubber buffer or the like 14. A coil spring 15 seeks to
the core 10 from the Wick treatment 11 to be pushed out. The activation of the current for the electromagnet he follows by a switch 16 on the handle 17 of the rocker arm 3 and by a switch lever 18 @ at the pivot point 1, which only after the ironing shoe 4 has been placed on the ironing table 19 Contacts 20 connects and therefore makes it impossible to switch on the current when the ironing shoe is raised.
In the dash-dotted position of the bracket shoe, the toggle lever 5, 6 is bent so far that the sleeve 8 rests on the rubber buffer 1.1. By placing the ironing shoe 4 on the ironing table 19, the toggle lever 5, 6 reaches an approximately stretched position. whereupon the current is switched on and the linkage by means of the electromagnet 10, 11 is attracted to the extended position, whereby the pressure of the ironing shoe is applied.
The spring 15 catches the shock of the electromagnet and on the other hand presses the toggle lever 5, 6 when the current is switched off again from the stretched position, whereupon the bracket shoe, balanced by the weight 21, is raised again by the return spring 22.
