Konservierungs- und DesodorierungsmitteL Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein Konservierungs- und Deso-dorierungsmit- tel, bestehend in einer Lösung eines wasser löslichen Reaktionsproduktes von Harnstoff und seinen Derivaten mit Formaldehyd.
Es wurde gefunden, dass wässerige Lö sungen der löslichen Kondensationsprodukte von Harnstoff und Derivaten mit Formalde <B>hyd</B> sich in liervorraggnder Weise zur Kon servierung leicht verderblicher Materialien, wie zum Beispiel von Därmen, Häuten, Fleisch usw. eignen. Schon in starker Ver dünnung macht sich die konservierende Wir kung dieser Lösungen geltend, wie Versuche zeigen. So zum Beispiel behalten Därme, die in eine verdünnte Lösung dieser Produkte eingelegt werden, ihre natürliche Farbe und bleiben weich und dehnbar.
Des Weiteren wurde gefunden, dass die Lösungen oder Harnstoff - Formaldehydkon densationsprodukte eine sehr ausgeprägte desodorierende Kraft besitzen. Insbesondere lassen sich üble Gerüche, herrührend von tie rischen Fäulnisprodukten, leicht und rasch entfernen, indem man die zu desodorierenden Räume, Behälter, wie zum Beispiel Fässer usw., mit den Lösungen bespritzt bezw. die Lösungen darin zerstäubt.
Zur Herstellung .des Produktes gemäss der Erfindung verwendet man vorteilhaft Harn stoff- bezw. Harnstoffderivat-Formaldehyd- kondensationsprodukte, die nicht mehr als 2 Mol. Formaldehyd auf 1 Mol. Harnstoff bezw. Harnstoffderivat enthalten und wel che frei sind von überschüssigem Form aldehyd.
Gewünschtenfalls können den Lösungen noch andere Stoffe bezw. Stoffgemische zu gesetzt werden, die entweder konservierend oder desodorierend wirken, oder die gleich zeitig beide Funktionen auszuüben vermögen, wodurch die Wirkung in geeigneten Fällen vorteilhaft unterstützt werden kann. <I>Beispiel 1:</I> Eine Lösung des Kondensationsproduk tes aus 3 Teilen Harnstoff und<B>8,2</B> Teilen 36 %iger Formaldehydlösung wird mit einer in der Wärme hergestellten Lösung von 12 Teilen Natronsalpeter in 8 Teilen Wasser gemischt.
Diese Lösung wird so weit ver dünnt, dass auf 1 bis 1@ Teile Trocken gemisch 20 Teile Wasser kommen. In die so erhaltene Lösung können zum Beispiel 100 bis 150 Teile des. zu konservierenden #2,la.te- rials, wie zum Beispiel Därme us@v., einge legt werden.
Beispiel <I>2:</I> 1 Teil Dimethylolliarnstoff, 1. Teil Koch salz und 1 Teil Natronsalpeter werden zii- sammen in 10 bis 15 Teilen mässig warmem Wasser gelöst. Die so. erhaltene Lösung kann vor dem Gebrauch auf 40 bis 50 Teile W'asser verdünnt und wie in Beispiel 1 ver- =endet werden.
<I>Beispiel 3:</I> Eine Lösung des Kondensa,tionspro-duk- tes aus 5 Teilen Harnstoff und 13,7 Teilen 36 ,äigem neutralisiertem Forma.lidehyd wird mit einer Lösung von 10 Teilen Salpeter in h Teilen ZVasser gemischt. Die Lösung kann eventuell nach weiterem Verdünnen als Kon- servierungsmittel, wie in Beispiel 1, oder zum Desodorieren von Fässern, Räumen usw. ver- ivendet werden.
