Description

Process for the production of homogeneous precipitates from aqueous dispersions of rubber-like substances on metallic precipitate substrates. It is known that in the production of rubber precipitates by electrical means simultaneously with the precipitation of the rubber, electrolytes of the electrolytes contained in the dispersion liquid of the rubber dispersion also take place, which results in gas development at the anode, and that this water Anodic gas development is attributable to the fact that it was not possible to achieve a homogeneous rubber deposit in this way.

It has now been found that it is possible to suppress the formation of gas in rubber dispersions, for example in commercially available latex when it is deposited on metallic substrates, if the electrophoresis is started with a current density at which the The jump in potential at the anode is not sufficient to cause electrolysis associated with gas formation, i.e. it is approximately below 1.7 V.

As the electrophoretic deposition of the rubber progresses, the electrical resistance can increase. In this case, the voltage can be increased gradually without increasing the potential jump at the anode.

It should be noted that, for the dispersions in question, both free of filler materials and fillers, vulcanization agents, vulcanization accelerators, dyes, rubber substitutes or other additives containing vulcanized or vulcanized natural or artificial, optionally also concentrated dispersions of rubber or a similar substance, such as gutta-percha or balata, belong.
