. . . de profil cylin drique et munies de renforcements eu forme de cône k1, <I>le',</I> 1c3 <I>. . .
Case for articles made of material having a certain plasticity (soap sticks for the beard, cosmetic sticks, etc.). The invention relates to a case for articles (such as soap sticks for the beard, cosmetic sticks, etc.) of more or less plastic material, established so as to allow said article to be kept in place in the case. any height, this fixing resulting from an action exerted laterally on said article.
This action can be, for example, a pressure, exerted by the case itself or else by intermediate members acting laterally on said articles. It is also possible to provide fixing means by penetration into the article itself, or alternatively by both pressure and penetration.
The article in question can therefore be retained in the case by cutting members which mechanically penetrate into the surface of the article and are automatically fixed there by the plasticity of the material, the article cannot in this way be released. than by releasing the cutting means outwards again. For the illustration of this first embodiment, a few embodiments shown in the following figures have been given by way of example.
Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing show, respectively in longitudinal section according to 1-1 fig. 2 and in cross section according to 2-2 fig. 1, a soap case for the beard, this case being shown closed and containing a soap stick.
Fig. 3 shows, in perspective, another example, with circular cutting members arranged at the head of the case, this case being shown empty and closed.
Figs. 4 and 5 show, respectively in longitudinal section according to 1-1 fig. 2 and in cross section according to 2-2 fig. 4, a soap case carrying sharp cutting means, this case being shown empty.
The article in question can also be retained in the case by lateral pressure, the latter being operated either directly by the wall of the case itself, or by an intermediate device provided in said case. The release of the retained article is effected by mechanically expanding said case. Some embodiments of this type of construction are shown in the following figures: Figs. 6 and 7 show, respectively in elevation and in section along 2-2 fig. 6, a soap case containing a soap stick.
Fig. 8 shows, in elevation, another embodiment established according to the same principle.
Fig. 9 shows, in cross section, a soap stick in place in a case and held by. a circular flat spring device.
Figs. 10, 11 and 12 show two other examples, both in axial longitudinal section.
The article in question can still be retained in the case by giving the latter a conical longitudinal profile, by slitting it longitudinally and by acting by means of a movable ring provided on the outer surface of said case to reduce the diameter. of this cone. The case can also be of cylindrical longitudinal profile and be provided in this case only with tabs established so that one can act on them with a ring to bring them to clamp the article. Figs. 13 and 14 show embodiments of such a case.
In the example shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, there is provided, in the internal surface of the side wall of the case b, as close as possible to the opening of the latter, a circular groove c, or a circular groove part, and, in this throat, or part of a throat, is housed a piece of affecting the shape of a kind of sickle. This part is articulated, by one of its ends, in its housing, by means of an axis e parallel to the axis of the case.
In its inactive position, it is concealed in this housing, so as not to come into contact with the soap cz, and, in its active position, it is engaged, in part at least, by its concave edge, makes more or less less sharp, in said soap. To bring this part into the desired position, it is actuated in the appropriate direction by soli free end, via a tail f which can move in an ad hoc slot g formed in the side wall of the groove c and contained in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the case.
It is understood that, with the part d being in its housing, it is possible to release the soap more or less from the case and that, once this soap has been brought to the desired emergence position, it suffices, to obtain its im mobilization, to bring, as has been said, said part d in its active position so that, coming to sink more or less into the soap, it ensures this result.
In the example of fig. 3, the case comprises two halves b 'and b "of slightly frustoconical tube, articulated by means of two small axes e, perpendicular to the axis of said tube and diametrically crossing the large base of the cone, and such that, folded down towards each other, they overlap each other from one base to the other of said truncated cone so that the edges of that b 'of the tube halves which are to overlap the edges of the other half s' elastically apply thereto. Both tube halves b 'and b "are smooth.
The edge of the end of each half of the tube corresponding to the small base of the truncated cone comprises a rim of and d ". The other end of said tube may be completely closed or also comprise an inner rim. The case has ears o 'and o "allowing the maneuvering of the two said halves. This arrangement also makes it possible to use soap sticks of different diameters; it suffices, to use the apparatus, to open the tube, to lay the soap stick in half b 'of this tube, pushing said stick on the corresponding rim, and to fold back, on said half, the other half b "of tube.
Thanks to this, if everything is judiciously established, the soap stick is caught between the two edges d 'and d "and is thus perfectly held in place.
In the example according to fig. .1 and b, the case b has at its upper part a ring provided with two cutting parts cd 'and a loop-shaped and which, ci) penetrating into the soap, allow the separated parts of the soap to join together. inside the loops by the pressure exerted during the use of the soap stick.
Figs. 6 and 7 show an embodiment in which the case is formed of an elastic metal sheet b suitable for stirring the soap stick a by overlapping the edges thereof, in an appropriate amount, one over the other. There is formed in said sheet, transversely and at mid-height, a slit y) with a large axis perpendicular to said edges, of equally suitable dimensions and terminating near the overlapping edge of said sheet.
A button o2 is attached to the outer face of the overlapped edge, comprising a clean neck foot to be smoothed into the slot 2); a button o1 is attached to the outer face of the overlapping edge. The whole is done in such a way that, by pressing with two fingers of one hand the buttons o1 and o2 laterally to bring them closer to each other, the foot of the button o2 slides into the slot o1, and the sheet b opens and then allows to introduce the soap stick or to remove a soap stick that would have been previously introduced, and that, by ceasing to act on said buttons,
said sheet closes on itself automatically thanks to its elasticity, and keeps said stick in place; this arrangement makes it possible to use soap sticks of different diameters.
In the example according to fig. 8, the case is formed of a rectangular metal sheet, for example copper or aluminum, thin enough to be able to function as a spring and to be able to be easily bent back on itself until its edges heading towards each other overlap by a certain amount, and then appearing in the form of a kind of cylinder b of sufficient dimensions for the soap stick to be taken there. On one side of the edge of the overlapping edge are fixed two buttons 1, 2 and, on the other side of said edge, two other buttons 3, 4.
A sliding piece v is established in such a way that it can be applied, on the case, astride said edge and slide, when it is driven by means of an ad hoc button 5, longitudinally on this case. This part has more or less trapezoidal openings which follow one another and whose oblique edges are directed in the same direction.
These openings, in each of which are secured two buttons 1 and 3, on the one hand, 2 and 4, on the other, are such that, by sliding said part v in one direction, the two pairs of buttons are tightened. more and more by the inclined edges of the corresponding openings, thus tightening more and more the soap stick a in the case, and that, by sliding said part in the other direction, said buttons are tightened less and less; this makes it possible to put the part v in place or to remove it. This arrangement allows the use of soap sticks of different diameters.
As shown in fig. 9, the case can be provided with a channel n and a circular spring in provided with a button f; this button sliding in the groove n and in this way opening the clamping device formed by said circular band spring, which allows the use of soap sticks of different diameters. The other equipments of this model can be similar to those shown in fig. 1 and 2.
The case according to fig. 10 and 11 is formed of a cylindrical tube b, metallic or not, lined towards one of its ends, with a ring r of flexible elastic material, rubber or similar elastic material, projecting inside the tube and such that it allows said stick to pass when it is threaded through the other end of the case and, on the contrary, opposes the return back of said stick; this ring is permanently fixed to the case by engaging it on the edge of the latter; it could also be taken in an ad hoc groove made in the case, or else, as shown in Fig.- 12 free in a narrowed groove r1 formed in said case.
In the case of a fixed ring, its internal surface has, when it is not in action, the more or less conical shape shown in figs. 10 and 11 and, in the case of a mobile ring, it has the shape of a torus, as shown in fig. 12. In this way, the soap stick, once engaged in the case by the end of the latter opposite the ring, can pass freely in the latter, but, when the stick is tended to retract in the case, said ring is opposed to it by the fact that, for FIGS. 10 and 11, the thickness of rubber tends to increase between the soap and the case and that, - for fig. 12, the ring gets stuck in the narrowest part of the throat.
In the example shown in fig. 13, the case is in the form of a truncated cone, provided with longitudinal slots b not extending over its entire length and limiting between them the two conical halves <I> a ', a "</I> free to one of their ends; it is provided with a fixing ring c for the soap stick d, this soap being fixed by means of said ring which, when it is lowered, tightens the two halves at and a ".
Fig. 14 shows a cylindrical case with a suitably perforated cover g, containing the soap stick a. The ring c tightens the tabs a1, a2, a3. . . . of cylindrical profile and provided with cone-shaped reinforcements k1, <I> le ', </I> 1c3 <I>. . . ., </I> these tongues being separated from the cylindrical body by slots b1, b2, b3 <B> .... </B> and can therefore be tightened by said ring. One could naturally establish said conical reinforcements in the opposite direction; that is, back born in <B> 1800. </B>
