Pointer for all types of illess instruments that require precise reading. Measuring instruments of all kinds that require a precise reading by means of a dial playing over a scale, such as volt, ampere and watt meters, manometers, hi drometers etc. have the disadvantage that, as a result of the pointer's distance from the scale being too great, which pointer distance is required to enable the pointer to move safely and unhindered, reading the exact values is very difficult.
In order to determine the exact values, as is well known, the eye must be exactly perpendicular to the pointer and the point on the scale indicated by it. As soon as the view falls more or less sideways on the pointer, a precise reading cannot be made, which reading becomes less precise the greater the pointer distance in relation to the scale. is. A mirror strip that runs parallel to the scale under the pointer and in which the pointer is reflected would make it easier to read in the vertical direction; but it has the significant disadvantage that it fails in poor lighting.
The purpose of the present invention is to remedy these deficiencies by means of a pointer which, in order to ensure an accurate reading of the values from the scale, unambiguously determines the direction in which the reading must be taken without the use of a mirror.
The subject of the invention is shown in some exemplary embodiments on the accompanying drawings.
1 and 2 show the first exemplary embodiment in front and side views, and FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 show three further exemplary embodiments in front and side views.
In the first exemplary embodiment, the pointer has a visor 2 on a free shaft end 1, which is fork-shaped. Behind this visor 2, exactly in its center, there is a pointer extension 4 bent backwards from the pointer shaft 3 as a horn. When the pointer is mounted in a measuring instrument, it faces the scale 5, as can be seen in FIG is. The visor 2 also has an incision 6.
When reading with the help of this pointer, the eye looks according to the arrow in FIG. 2 through the forked visor at the pointer extension 4 and at the same time at the point on the scale indicated by it. If now the pointer extension 4 exactly in the middle of the visor 2, respectively. is visible exactly behind the incision 6, the value to be determined on the measuring instrument can be determined precisely and with certainty. can be read off the scale.
If the pointer extension appears to the eye shifted to the side in the visor, the value cannot be read off precisely. the view does not fall perpendicularly on the pointer. This construction of the pointer has the consequence that if the front parts of the pointer are colored black, a sharp; There is also a contrast between the pointer and the white scale paper, so that the eye can be adjusted quickly and easily even when the light is coming from an unfavorable direction or when the light is weak.
The shapes of the visor and of the pointer extension can be different, for example as shown in the further exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.
The visor 7 of the second embodiment example according to FIGS. 3, 4 is completely closed and has a hole 8, with the downward incision 9. The pointer extension 10 serving as a horn is ge exactly the same as in the first exemplary embodiment. Also, as shown in FIGS. 5, 6, a nose 11 can be provided at .stelle of the visor, just like the previously described pointer extensions, while the pointer extension 17 is designed like the visor 7 according to FIGS. 3 and 4, with the difference that a free-standing tongue 12 is provided above.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 7, 8, the visor 13 is designed as in the second exemplary embodiment. The pointer extension 14 serving as a horn consists of a very thin wire, string or the like. This is fixed at one end at the pointer shaft end 1.5 and at the other end at the free end of a bracket 16 located on the pointer shaft, in such a way that it lies exactly behind the visor 13 in its center.
The described pointer with sighting device offers a very big, special advantage for such precision measuring instruments that are used for calibration, or for those that are often used in locations with variable or unfavorable lighting for precise, namely also momentary, measurements should.
