Description
Device to prevent the dazzling of automobile drivers. The object of the invention is a device for preventing the dazzling of motor vehicle drivers, the accompanying drawing of which gives, by way of example, one embodiment.
Fig. 1 is a front view; Fig. 2 is a plan view.
A screen 1 in colored celluloid can rotate on a shaft 2 which supports it.
One end of this shaft 2 is embedded in a rubber part 3 hollowed out at 4 so as to form a suction cup which can be fixed at will in the desired place against the glass 5 of the usual windshield.
The shaft 2 is threaded to receive a nut 6 and a locknut 7, which makes it possible to obtain the desired tightening so that the hand easily rotates the screen 1, without the latter being able to turn accidentally.
The shape of the screen has a certain im portance., The curvilinear edges give a better result for the eye directed towards these edges when at the crossing of another vehicle with blinding headlights the driver of the automobile has brought the screen in desired position to avoid glare. The screen being within easy reach, it can then be easily brought into the out-of-service position.
