Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Fäden mit Perleneffekten. Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Fäden mit Perleneffekten aus einer erhärtenden flüssigen Masse, beispielsweise Gelatine, Gummi ara- bicum, Kondensationsprodukten aus Phenol- Formaldehydoder Harnstoff-Formaldehyd. Die Fäden können Textil- oder Metallfäden sein und zur Herstellung von Geweben mit Perleneffekten, Posamentierwaren und der gleichen dienen.
Die Vorrichtung gemäss der Erfindung besteht im wesentlichen aus einer drehbaren Trommel, die mit vorstehenden Organen besetzt ist, an die der Faden anzulegen ist, damit er nach Benetzung der freien Enden der genannten Organe mit der zur Her stellung der Perlen verwendeten flüssigen, nachträglich erhärtenden Masse den anhaf tenden Tropfen beim Abgleiten von den Organen mitnimmt.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Vorrichtung, das speziell zur Herstellung von Schussfäden mit Perleneffekten bestimmt ist, ist auf der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt. 1 und 2 sind Bänder mit in gleichen Abständen angeordneten aufgebogenen Lap pen 3, zwischen welchen ein Faden 4 in Form einer Schlangenlinie gespannt ist. Die Bänder sind mit Löchern b versehen, in die Zähne 6 einer Trommel 7 eingreifen, welche die Bänder bei ihrer Drehung mitnimmt und sie @ in Abstand hält.
Dieser Abstand ist der art gewählt, dass die Fadenlänge von der Mitte eines Lappens 3 des einen Bandes zur Mitte des nächstfolgenden Lappens des andern Bandes der Breite des Gewebes gleich ist, das mittelst des behandelten Fadens als Schussfaden hergestellt werden soll. Der Faden verläuft daher auf Trommel 7 in der gleichen Art wie der Schussfaden im fertigen Gewebe. Die Trommel 7 ist mit Reihen von Nadeln 8 in paarweiser Anordnung be setzt. Die Entfernung der Reihen ist dem Abstand der in der Längsrichtung der Trom mel verlaufenden Fadenstücke gleich, so dass sich diese Fadenstücke beim Auflaufen der Bänder auf die Trommel zwischen die beiden Nadeln jedes Paares einlegen und beim Ab laufen von ihnen abgleiten.
Mit der Trommel 7 arbeitet eine Trom mel 9 zusammen, die auf einem Teil des Mantels einen Belag 10 aus saugfähigem, elastischern Material trägt, dessen Fonn dem Gewebemuster angepasst ist. Der Belag steht einerseits mit einer Walze 11 in Berührung, die die zur Herstellung der Effekte verwen dete flüssige Masse aufträgt, anderseits greifen in ihn die Spitzen der Nadeln 8 ein und benetzen sich dabei mit Flüssigkeit, die als Tropfen 12 zwischen den Nadelspitzen haften bleibt. Dieser Tropfen wird beim Ablaufen der Bänder von der Trommel 7 durch den abgleitenden Faden von den Nadeln abge streift. Da beide Trommeln den gleichen Um fang besitzen, so werden immer dieselben Nadelpaare mit demselben Teil des Belages 10 zum Eingriff kommen.
Sollen Fäden mit Perleneffekten in mehreren Farben herge stellt werden, so werden um die Trommel 7 Trommeln 9 in der der Farbenanzahl ent sprechenden Zahl angeordnet. Ihr Belag ent spricht jeweils der Gewebemusterung in der betreffenden Farbe und muss selbstverständ lich derart angeordnet sein, dass ein durch eine Trommel benetztes Nadelpaar in den Belag einer andern Trommel nicht eingreift.
Wird der gegenseitige Abstand der Nadel paare in der Reihe und auch der Abstand der Reihen voneinander entsprechend klein gewählt; so ist eine einzige Nadeltrommel 7 für die verschiedensten Muster ausreichend. Hingegen sind die Trommeln 9 bei jeder Änderung des Musters auszuwechseln. Die Breite der Belagstücke ist an den verschie denen Stellen gleich der Breite der in der betreffenden Farbe herzustellenden Muster teile des Gewebes an den entsprechenden Stellen, die Länge ist verzerrt, entsprechend dem grösseren Abstand, den die parallel zur Trommelachse verlaufenden Fadenstücke im Vergleich zu den im Gewebe unmittelbar nebeneinander liegenden Schussfäden besitzen.
Es ist ohne weiteres klar, dass an Stelle der Nadelpaare auch einzelne Nadeln, in Reihen geordnet, auf der Trommel vorge sehen sein können, an welchen der gespannte Faden anliegt. An Stelle der Nadeln können zum Beispiel Blechstreifen, gegebenenfalls geschlitzte Blechstreifen, wobei die Schlitze zur Aufnahme des Fadens bestimmt sind, vorhanden sein.

An embodiment of the device, which is specifically intended for the production of weft threads with pearl effects, is shown schematically in the drawing. 1 and 2 are bands with equally spaced bent up Lap pen 3, between which a thread 4 is stretched in the form of a serpentine line. The belts are provided with holes b into which the teeth 6 of a drum 7 engage, which entrains the belts as they rotate and keeps them at a distance.
This distance is chosen so that the thread length from the center of a lobe 3 of one band to the center of the next lobe of the other band is equal to the width of the fabric that is to be produced as the weft thread using the treated thread. The thread therefore runs on drum 7 in the same way as the weft thread in the finished fabric. The drum 7 is set with rows of needles 8 in pairs be. The distance between the rows is equal to the distance between the pieces of thread running in the longitudinal direction of the drum, so that these pieces of thread are inserted between the two needles of each pair when the tapes run onto the drum and slide off of them when running down.
With the drum 7, a drum 9 cooperates, which carries a covering 10 of absorbent, elastic material on part of the shell, the shape of which is adapted to the fabric pattern. The coating is on the one hand in contact with a roller 11, which applies the liquid mass used to produce the effects, on the other hand, the tips of the needles 8 engage in it and wet themselves with liquid that sticks as drops 12 between the needle tips. This drop is stripped from the needles when the tapes run off from the drum 7 by the thread sliding off. Since both drums have the same order, the same pairs of needles will always come into engagement with the same part of the covering 10.
