Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines alkalieehten grünblauen Farbstoffes der Triphenylmethanreihe. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen alkali- echten grünblauen Farbstoff der Triphenyl- methanreihe erhält, wenn man 1 Mol. o-Sulfo- benzaldehyd mit 2 112o1. m-Chlorsulfobenzyl- äthylanilin kondensiert und das entstandene Kondensationsprodukt oxydiert.
Trocken ist der Farbstoff, der im Zustand der freien Säure die Di-m-chlorsulfobenzyl- diäthyldiaminotriphenylkarbinol - o - sulfosäure ist, ein metallisch glänzendes blaues Pulver, das in Wasser leicht mit schöner blauer Farbe löslich ist, und färbt Wolle in blau grünen Tönen von besonderer Reinheit und Klarheit, wobei das Färbebad ausgiebiger als bei dem entsprechenden chlorfreien Farbstoff erschöpft wird.
Beispiel: Das in bekannter Weise aus m-Chlor- benzylchlorid und Konoäthylanilin erhaltene in-Chlorbenzyläthylanilin wird sulfiert, indem man 1 Teil der Base in 1-2 Teilen Schwefel säuremonohydrat löst und in der Kälte so lange mit zwei Äquivalenten SOs in Form von Oleum rührt, bis Alkalilöslichkeit ein- getreten ist. Auf diese Weise tritt eine Sulfo- gruppe in den Benzylrest ein.
Die neue Sulfo- säure stellt ein weisses Pulver dar und ist in Wasser sehr schwer, in Alkalien leicht löslich. 66 Teile der Sulfosäure werden mit 23 Teilen o-Sulfobenzaldehyd (90 o/oig) in wässeriger Lösung 24 Stunden unter Rück fluss gekocht und die entstandene Leukosäure in saurer Lösung mit Bleisuperoxyd zum Farbstoff oxydiert. Nach dem Abscheiden des Bleis wird der Farbstoff ausgesalzen und ge trocknet.
Process for the preparation of an alkaline green-blue dye of the triphenylmethane series. It has been found that an alkali-proof green-blue dye of the triphenylmethane series is obtained if 1 mol. O-sulfobenzaldehyde is mixed with 2 112o1. m-Chlorsulfobenzyl- äthylanilin condenses and the resulting condensation product is oxidized.
Dry is the dye, which in the state of the free acid is the di-m-chlorosulfobenzyl diethyldiaminotriphenylcarbinol - o - sulfonic acid, a metallic shiny blue powder that is easily soluble in water with a beautiful blue color, and dyes wool in blue-green shades of of particular purity and clarity, whereby the dyebath is exhausted more extensively than with the corresponding chlorine-free dye.
Example: The in-chlorobenzylethylaniline obtained in a known manner from m-chlorobenzyl chloride and conoethylaniline is sulfated by dissolving 1 part of the base in 1-2 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate and stirring it in the cold with two equivalents of SO2 in the form of oleum until alkali solubility occurs. In this way a sulfo group enters the benzyl radical.
The new sulphonic acid is a white powder and is very difficult in water and easily soluble in alkalis. 66 parts of the sulfonic acid are refluxed with 23 parts of o-sulfobenzaldehyde (90%) in an aqueous solution for 24 hours and the leuco acid formed is oxidized in acidic solution with lead peroxide to give the dye. After the lead has been deposited, the dye is salted out and dried.
