Description

Process for increasing the spinnability of fibers. The invention relates to a method for improving the spin structure of fibers.

It has been shown that natural fibers, i.e. fibers that are not isolated from the original plants by chemical influences, as is the case with wood pulp and cotonized fibers from flax, hemp and the like, as well as fibers that are on are made by artificial means, can be significantly improved in their spinning structure if they are treated in the wet or dry state with sharp-edged powder grains, for example glass powder, carborundum powder, infusoric earth.

The treatment can be carried out using R.ülir, mixing, grinding or centrifuging devices, centrifugal mills, shredders, grinders, shredders, openers, press or stamping plants, ventilators or other devices which are suitable for incorporating the grains into the fibers to bring the necessary contact, take place: As such fibers are primarily nettles (all types of nettles from 7 .._ 1_i_7 n , ! r ..

Example Urfica dioica L. and Boehmeria nivea), kapok, rayon, staple fiber, animal hair and similar fiber materials. The spinning structure of cotton of different types and similar fibers, as well as synthetic cotton (cotton, linen or other fibers regenerated from spun or woven fabrics) and silk, wool, bags and similar fibers can be improved considerably in this way. The yarns, fabrics and textile goods produced from treated fibers gain new and valuable properties that are not to be expected, for example greater tensile strength, greater softness and better volume.
