Description
Process for the foundation of structures by sealing them against groundwater. The invention relates to a method of founding 'building structures under seal from the same against groundwater, such as such for example in mountain tunnels, subways and the like comes to use.
Such foundation processes are generally carried out in such a way that first a construction pit is drained if possible by pumping out the groundwater. A thin layer of concrete is then applied to the rough wall of the pit, creating a smooth base for a waterproofing layer. The sealing layer usually consists of several layers of cardboard that is impregnated with bitumen. The rest of the building material, for example a concrete layer, can then be applied to this.
It has now been shown that in the case of soil with a lot of groundwater, especially where water veins are cut, the concrete layer remains slightly porous despite the pumping out of the groundwater and consequently does not dry sufficiently for the tar paper to be applied. As a result, the tar paper gets soaked and does not stick together.
The present invention pursues the purpose of creating a completely dry base for said waterproofing layer in this case. This is achieved by the fact that between a concrete layer, which takes the sealing layer, and the wall of the construction pit another, water-draining layer, preferably made of folded cardboard, is placed, which forms grooves in which the seepage water, for example after downstairs, flowing into channels from which it is discharged.
In the drawing: FIG. 1 shows a section through a tunnel established and sealed according to a method example, FIG. 2 shows a section through folded cardboard used in this process. The hard wall of the excavation pit 1 is leveled by a thin layer of concrete 2. One or more layers 3 of folded cardboard are applied to this (FIG. 2). The folded cardboard has many longitudinal folds or grooves in which the water seeping through the layer can run downwards.
There it is collected in channels 4 in order to then flow into the collecting pits or the like. A further concrete layer 5 is applied to this folded cardboard layer 3. This binds tightly and without pores, since any pressurized water is diverted through the folded cardboard. So it forms a suitable base for the actual sealing layer 6; this consists of cardboard layers which are soaked with bitumen. The concrete wall 7 is listed on this waterproofing layer.
