Device for filling a liquid in measured quantities. The invention relates to a device for a liquid, e.g. B. gasoline to be filled in measured quantities, namely of the type that has two measuring vessels, one of which is alternately filled and the other emptied.
According to the invention, the overflow lines of both measuring vessels are connected to an intermediate vessel, the flow of which is controlled by a valve, the closing element of which is lifted from its seat when a jet of liquid emerging from the overflow line of one of the measuring vessels hits a moving part that is connected to the departure. sclilussorgan is in connection.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown partly in section, partly in view.
The two measuring vessels 1 and 2 of the same size and located next to one another are connected at the bottom through lines 4 and 5 with a four-way valve 6 and at the top through overflow lines 7 and 8 with a four-way valve 9. The two four-way cocks 6 and 9 are coupled mitein other by means not shown in the drawing, so that they are always rotated together. The liquid feed line 10 and the dispensing line 11 are connected to the lower four-way valve 6; a sight glass 12 is switched on in the latter.
On the upper four-way valve 9, the line 14 is ruled out, which has a connection with a lower intermediate vessel 15 and in which the sight glass 13 is turned on. The intermediate vessel 15 is cylindrical and arranged upright. A line 16 also leads from the upper four-way valve 9 to the Zwischenge vat 15, namely the mouth of the line 16 is in the vessel 15 above the mouth 17 of the overflow line 14. The mouth 17 is designed as a jet nozzle, so. that liquid reaching the overflow line emerges in a sharp jet into the interior of the intermediate vessel 15. Just in front of the nozzle 17 there is a spoon 18 which can.
End of a lever 20 mounted at 19 on the bottom of the intermediate vessel bil det. This lever 20 has a short hori zontal part which carries a valve disk 21. By its own weight and that of the lever 20, the latter closes the drain in the bottom of the intermediate vessel, from which a line 22 leads into the liquid container not shown in the drawing.
If liquid is pressed through the line 10 into the measuring vessel 1 in the tap position shown, the air is released from the latter through the overflow line 7, 9, 14, the intermediate vessel 15, the line 16, the four-way valve 9 and the line 8 pushed into the container 2. If there is liquid in this, it flows under the pressure of the air entering the container 2 and its own weight through the line 5, the four-way tube 6 and the dispensing line 11.
If the filling of the measuring container 1 is driven too far, the liquid flows out of the loading container 1 through the overflow line 7, 9, 14 into the vessel 15, in which it hits the spoon 18 as a sharp jet, causing the lever 20 pushed back and thereby the valve disk 21 is lifted from its seat. When the valve plate 21 is raised, the liquid that has entered the intermediate vessel 15 can immediately flow back through the line 10 into the liquid container.
After switching the four-way taps 6 and 9, the measuring vessel 1 is connected at the bottom to the tapping line 11 and the measuring vessel 2 to the liquid supply line 10, while the overflow line 7 is connected to the line 16 at the top and the overflow line 8 to the line 14. The process described in the intermediate vessel 15 is repeated when the measuring vessel 2 is filled and the measuring vessel 1 is emptied.
This device prevents liquid from flowing out of the latter into the other, which is being emptied, and thus impairing the measurement, if one measuring vessel is too full. The upper four-way tap could also be left out. In this case, the lines 7 and 8 would have to be routed directly, and advantageously separately from each other, into the intermediate vessel and designed as jet nozzles at their mouths that direct the overflowing liquid to a common spoon or another movable part through the the drain valve of the intermediate container is actuated.
