Advertising device. The present invention includes a positive advertisement.
This device consists of a rotating body intended to move on the ground while rolling, and the surface of which carries advertisements.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention with a variant of detail.
Fig. 1 is a plan; Fig. 2 is a: detail view on a larger scale; Fig. 3 is a detail view of a variant.
The rotating body consists of a hollow sphere 10. This sphere comprises an inner balloon inflated with air and covered with an outer protective envelope, for example made of canvas. The running surface is provided with projections 11 to prevent the surface of the sphere which carries the advertisements from coming into contact with the ground. The envelope also bears on two diametrically opposed parts, rigid parts 12 on which are formed housings 13 for ball joints 14 of the ends of the two branches 15 of a forked part constituting the control member, this part being provided a handle 16 to facilitate the maneuver.
On one of the parts 12 is formed a valve to allow inflation of the balloon. Fig. 3 shows a detailed variant of this embodiment, in which each part 12 carries a journal 17 engaging in a corresponding bearing of the ends of the two branches 15 of the fork. One of these journals formed by a valve allows the balloon to be inflated.
In the example described above as well as in the variant the rotary body is not crossed by a shaft or axis about which it rotates. This simplifies construction, makes this body lighter and, therefore, easier to maneuver. , The rotating body could be made other than described above, for example in two parts joining exactly and formed by means of ribs, substantially like an umbrella. These two parts together would also form a substantially spherical body.
To form a hollow body of substantially spherical shape, it is also possible to form a rigid carcass by fixing parts on each part 12 - constituting portions of an arc of a circle, arranged so that those of one of the parts can be joined to those of the other part by their free ends.
Two hemispherical caps, for example made of canvas, are stretched over this carcass, which are joined to one another by means of a lace on the largest section of the rotating body, perpendicular to its axis of rotation.
In this embodiment, the projections intended for. to prevent the surface of the body which carries the advertisements from coming into contact with the ground, consist of two coil springs of annular shape, placed on the body 10 at a certain distance from each other. Thanks to this arrangement, a soft and elastic rolling of the body 10 is obtained.
It is understood that the rotating body can have different shapes such as for example those of a cylinder, a barrel etc.
The protrusions 11 could be replaced by one or more ribs.
The rotating body could be transparent and include an interior lighting device, which would allow its use at night.
