Siloverschluss.
Silo closure. The invention relates to a silo closure, under which two measuring vessels are arranged which are to be filled and emptied alternately and which control the closing element of the silo mouth in such a way that
that when one measuring vessel is emptied it closes the silo opening over the latter and opens it over the other measuring vessel, for the purpose of emptying the other one while filling one measuring vessel and thereby being able to remove certain quantities of storage material from the silo in quick succession.
In the drawing, which is an embodiment example of the subject invention, Fig. 2 is a side view of the same and Fig. 1 is a vertical section.
It denotes 1 a silo whose mouth is divided by a web 2 into two outlet openings 3 and 4 for the storage material. Below the silo mouth there is a container 6 which is detachably suspended from the silo by means of a bracket 5 and which is divided into two compartments 8 and 9 by a partition 7 running at the same time as the web 2, each of which serves as a measuring vessel for the storage material.
which exits from the outlet opening 3 or 4 located above it. The measuring vessels have outwardly sloping bottoms 10 on the inside and an angular flap 11 and on the outside. 12, which when the measuring vessel is closed forms the outer half of the bottom and at the same time the outer side wall.
The flaps 11 and 12 can swing around axle journals 13 arranged close to the upper edge and are activated by the pressure of the measuring vessel in question. Storage goods influenced in an opening sense: The two flaps 11 and 12 are coupled to one another by a link 14. On the flap 11 engages a handlebar 16, which is articulated with a lever 18 mounted at 17 hand.
By operating the lever 18 from the left end position to the right, the flap 11 is closed and the flap 12 is opened, and conversely, when the lever 18 moves in the opposite direction, the flap 12 is closed and the flap 11 opens at the same time . Each of the two flaps has an upwardly extending arm 19 which, with lateral play between two pins 20 and 21, grabbing the latter tra lowing slide 22 respectively. 23 for the outlet openings 3 and 4 dominated.
The handling and operation of the described silo closure is fol lowing: In the position shown in Fig. 2, the hand lever is in the end position on the right, the flap 11 is closed, the associated slide 22 is open, the flap 12, that is, the second measuring vessel 9, for the purpose Emptying open at the bottom and the outlet opening 4 respectively located above the latter. the slide 23 is closed. The measuring vessel 8 is therefore filled, whereas the measuring vessel 9 is emptied.
If one now wants to empty the measuring vessel 8, one only has to switch the lever 18 from the right to the left end position. For this purpose, at least initially, no effort is required, since the pressure of the filling of the measuring vessel acts on opening, whereby it is still supported by the excess weight of the open flap 12.
When the flap 11 is opened, which of course should be carried out as quickly as possible, the outlet opening 3 is quickly closed by the arm 19 acting on the pin 20. At the same time, the flap 12 closes and due to the play of its arm 19 between the two pins 20 and 21, the slide 23 only opens when the flap 12 is almost closed. As a result, the measuring vessel 9 is filled while the measuring vessel 8 is emptied.
Immediately after the latter has been filled, it can be emptied and the measuring vessel 8 filled by moving the lever 18. Since the filling is just as quick as the emptying, the described silo closure enables rapid, so to speak, continuous removal of very specific quantities of the stored goods from the silo. A large number of measurements can therefore be carried out in a short time. With each back and forth movement of the lever 18, a counter 24 is actuated, so that it is not even necessary for the worker to count the empties if a certain amount of storage material is to be removed from the silo.
The silo lock described can be attached to existing silos. If it is to be made possible to remove the memory from the silo without regard to the amount, the measuring container 6 can be suspended from the silo. The described silo closure with two outlet openings can be used with advantage, in particular, for heavy storage goods that easily block in the silo mouth, for example gravel, since with the alternating opening and closing of the outlet openings the storage material above the silo mouth is required to change its direction of movement .
For light storage goods, where there is no risk of jamming in the silo mouth, the latter is expediently not subdivided and provided with a single closing element, which is connected to the measuring vessels in such a way that it closes the silo mouth over the measuring vessel that is is emptied and opens over the other measuring vessel to be filled.
For the purpose of emptying, the measuring vessels could also be designed to be tiltable instead of opening a wall.
