L'objet de la présente invention est un commutateur de voltmètre sans plots morts, il comporte une manette permettant de faire tourner une barrette isolante autour d'un axe de rotation monté sur un socle en matière isolante et présentant d'une part, des plots de contact reliés aux circuits dont on veut mesurer la tension, d'autre part, deux seg ments de contact dont l'un est denté, la barrette isolante comportant deux balais dont l'un, correspondant au segment denté, est muni d'un ressort d'arrêt qui permet d'arrêter les balais; soit sur les plots de contact, soit entre eux de ces plots.
Le dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en élévation; La fig. 2 une vue en plan, de dessus. Le commutateur selon ces figures -com porte une manette a permettant de faire tourner une barrette isolante b, autour d'un axe de rotation<I>i,</I> monté sur un socle<I>f,</I> en matière isolante et présentant des plots de contact d. Ces plots de contact sont réunis, au moyen de tiges filetées j, par exemple d'amenée de courant aux différents circuits dont on veut mesurer la tension.
Sur le socle f -sont disposés deux seg ments g et h. de contact, dont l'un g, est denté, segments<I>g</I> et<I>h</I> qui sont réunis par des tiges filetées k aux bornes du voltmètre.- La barrette isolante b comporte deux\ balais c et l'un d'eux, celui qui correspond au segment denté g, est muni d'un ressort d'arrêt e dont le pointeau frotte sur la face latérale extérieure dentée, du segment g. Ce pointeau venant se loger dans les encoches du segment g, arrête les balais c soit sur un des plots d, soit entre deux de ces plots, dans une position correspondant à un point mort.
Le ressort d'arrêt e, peut être d'une seule pièce, le pointeau étant alors une simple saillie du métal, obtenue par emboutissage.
Le commutateur peut être placé soit sur un tableau, soit derrière celui-ci, en reliant dans ce cas la manette a à l'axe i au moyen d'un accouplement mobile.
